Same. As I said in another thread, Mallyx is the only legend that also requires Corruption to work properly, so it’s the most expensive one.
I’ll unlock Herald, Invocation, and Devastation, and then Glint, Shiro, Ventari and maybe Jalis if I have enough points.

Is anyone going to instant level 80 via scroll/tomes and then do the personal story to amount additional exp after level 80 to put towards a mastery track? I was under the impression Tomes of Knowledge would work giving you exp after 80 but I believe that is not the case. I have 85 tomes, also I have like 20 tomes that can only be used by characters under level 80 I think this was a personal story reward at the end. All I know is they do not stack :\ Along with a few year 1 and 2 level 20 birthday scrolls.

I also took my alts and parked them at rich iron ores and used a alt to rotate the other maps with the watch work pick for Ascended farming. the amount of deldimor steel you need is too dang high! If the armor does not wipe you, you will be hard pressed for weapons.

First goal I have is to unlock Pact Mastery by any means necessary. That means personal story, world completion, anything and everything with Birthday Booster + Heroic Booster on.

I was using tomes for Key Farming (level to 5, tome 5, farm key) but they ruined that with this nonsensical patch to nerf F2P accounts key farming. It also means when I do my 2nd Revenant I’ll want to level him up after Sunday reset so I don’t waste his Chapter 1 key.

Honestly I find spending time farming money to be vastly superior than gathering. While parking alts is a slick move every Ascended item I craft I just spend a few hours in Silverwastes, sell everything, and then turn around and buy whatever I need.

Saved up plenty of tomes! Full ascended gear with trinkets along with endless gathering tools and 20 slot bags! Also getting makeover kits and name change tickets. He’s getting the main toon name! Can’t wait! \o/

Not really a money problem (around 6.4g to make 50), but it takes 10 charged quartz to make 50. Still saving them for sinister gear.

They aren’t too expensive, especially since you get 5 per craft. It’s a sheet of charged ambrite, vicious fang, and two crystalline dust.

Yeah, the quartz is the problem. Only 1 each day.

-enough tomes of knowledge for instant 80
-sigils: frailty (for devastation traits on all weapons other than sword)
-runes: traveler’s (2 sets)
-exotic armor (Knight’s, Celestial, and Carrion)
-ascended trinkets (many types)
-220+ laurels to buy more ascended trinkets
-makeover kit
-20 slot bags (7) + bag expansion slots (3)
-salvage o’matic and unlimited gathering tools will come from my current main
-mats for up to 5 ascended weapons
-artificer and weaponsmith characters at L500 to make ascended weapons (not bothering with ascended armor)

I just haven’t decided yet if Rev will be my main. I’ll try Scrapper out next BWE and then I’ll know for sure.

I have prepared a couple of exotic armors and weapons along with some jewelery (other jewelery parts were ascended). I have been seldom playing the game in recent time so I forgot some things. I thought I will ready stuff all the way along with putting in sigils and runes in the armor. Boy, oh boy was I surprised to find out that I bound 80% of the stuff to my engineer who couldn’t even use it!

Stuff I bound by mistake/carelessness to my engineer that was meant to be for my Revenant:

- Berserker’s Draconic; helm, chest, shoulders, gloves, boots, legs (all with Superior Rune of Rage)
- Berserker’s Pearl Sabre (Superior Sigil of Accuracy), Berserker’s Pearl Sabre (Superior Sigil of Force), Berserker’s Pearl Crusher (Superior Sigils of Force & Accuracy)
- Cleric’s Draconic: helm, chest, shoulders, gloves, boots, legs (all with Superior Rune of Altruism)
- Cleric’s Pearl Quarterstaff (Superior Sigils of Water & Benevolence), Cleric’s Pearl Shell (Superior Sigil of Benevolence)
- Dire Draconic; helm, chest, shoulders, gloves, boots, legs (all with Superior Rune of Tormenting)

The worst part is that I didn;t have too much gold so Most of it went into it and gems. ArenaNet does not help with this. Already tried. So in the end I had to salvage everything from the list above (mostly the armor with Runes of Tormenting since they are 10g/piece.

Since then I sold some mats and farmed a bit through events so I am up to ~80g now and already recovered 95% of these items:P

My prepping is for the most part toying around with a Charr to see if I can learn to like the model/race. Im a bit tired of always using the standard human-like models, and a rev Charr slamming the ground with a hammer looks quite cool (but not so much a staff imo as it feels more like a finesse weapon whereas Charr is brute force). There is just something that is awkward to me watching a big cat on two feet running while wielding something, I need to change this view somehow.

I want to as well but not sure which or wait to see what new legendaries are coming out. I really like Fractal skins (very “Mists” looking) and have been driving towards Fractal 50 to be able to purchase the skins I don’t get with HOT.

Dislike Juggernaut, big thermometer just doesn’t do it for me.
Bolt is solid, but bit out of the range I’m willing to pay pre-precusor crafting.
Moot is rainbow nightmare like the others.
Frostfang is solid and would pair pretty sweet with a Corrupted Blade.
Flameseeker Prophecies is neat, but seems a bit small in previews where the Fractal Shield is huge

Probably end up making Frostfang, especially because the stat switch functionality will be great for Condi or Power.

I finally completed my Revenant set! As a ranger main I was waiting until the druid reveal, but I decided to just take a chance and just prep my future Revenant. Only thing I have left to decide is what race it will be. Stuck between Sylvari and Charr xD

All the gear has sinister stats and I bought an overload of various condition based sigils/runes that were unbelievably expensive…but I couldn’t make up my mind so I just bought one or two of each: sigil of bursting/malice/torment; runes of perplexity/torment. I was surprised there is no torment + 20% duration sigil…could have sworn I saw it before. lol

I have Bolt, Juggernaut, and Flameserker crafted for my rev but what I would like is another staff and mace choice. Don’t suppose you can drop a hint if there will be new choices in those after HoT hits?

Im not quite sure what stats ill want on her, so ive just held off on salvaging a random Soldier’s set I got from levelling my Armoursmith to 500, along with an Adventurer’s Mantle I got on my adventures. I feel like ill probably want Valkyrie’s armour more than Soldier’s, for thar crit damage, but its just a starter set. I have a load of weapon and armour boxes from dungeon tracks to kit her out when I decide on her official set.

A noice sword skin I got from a PvP track. It’ll go on a Berserker sword from one of my dungeon boxes until I get some juicy HoT skin.

I took the liberty of taking advantage of the Digital Deluxe upgrade sale when that happened, so I have a full set of Primeval Armour ill give her as well. Although im not fond of the gloves and shoulder piece. Those will have Heritage Skins applied to her.

Only 15 slot bags, because only my main characters are worthy of 20 slot bags.

I have a Level 30 scroll and 50 tomes of knowledge stored away for her as well.

I think he was responding about the legendary he wants to make and means he has Bolt, Flameseeker Prophecies, Howler and Quip made up already. I’m a big fan of the Bifrost (especially on Revenant/Daredevil, those rainbow trails~) but if you don’t already have The Legend it’s ridiculously expensive at the moment. Juggernaut or Frostfang perhaps?

On topic, I’m pretty much ready to go for my Rev’s gear and have everything except an ascended spear and that’s only because I ran out of laurels to buy the pattern (purchasing shiny things for my home instance is more important!). Using a mix of Berserker/Assassin armour with Berserker trinkets/weapons to get up to around 53% base crit so that I can hit 100% in organised groups thanks to roiling mists.

As someone who has made The Juggernaut you do not know pain till you’ve had to make a vial of quicksilver. Knowing full well that every single one of those silver doubloons is only worth that ludicrous amount of gold because of the juggernaut, otherwise it would be a couple of silver and junk.

Fortunately with the new map rewards for completing events in said maps then they should be much easier to get in a timely fashion. Sure you won’t get them all in a day but I dare say over the course of a month or two you can get them without having to grind too hard.

Same for charged lodestones that the devs keep putting in everything….

I’ve held off making much armor or weapons. Instead I’m working on accumulating raw and refined materials so that after HoT is released, I can decide what to make and make it immediately.

Especially since there will be new legendaries and legendary armor; I wan’t to see what those are and what they require. I’m hoping also that prices on some of the extant legendary precursors drop after the release.

I do though have a crazy number of tomes and other exp scrolls saved up. I won’t go 0-80 instantly, but it will be nice to have tomes for when I get impatient about hitting some particular level.

I’m also not finishing personal story on some level 80 alts until after release, because each episode gives a big exp bump, which could be good for leveling Tyria/Pact masteries. Leveling masteries enough to spend mastery points felt a little grindy in the Beta Weekends, so I’ve been thinking about how to make that easier.

I have the following ready.

• Exotic Berserker Gear
• Scholar Runes
• 2x Force Sigils / 1x Bloodlust Sigil / 2x Night Sigil / 2x Air Sigil
• Ascended Trinkets
• L30 Scroll + 50 Tomes of Knowledge

Yep, I’m guilty as charged. Everything is literally prepared in there. Those runes of Strength are for a build I’m planning on running for the Revenant. (The pack runes are for chronomancer)

Pvt is never a bad idea but since Rev has a good hp pool why not valk? I’ll go one or another as soon as i nail down a build :P

whoo, so I finally got my exotic back (spinal blades), weapons(bought), rings (crafted), and armor (crafted the insignias, bought the parts, will construct when I have an armorsmith)

I think that besides the revenant itself I have everything I need prepared

I’d love to get the tempered spinal blades, but it’s going to take at least 1250 watchwork sprockets :/

Bolt and The Flameseeker Prophecies (literally perfect) ready to go – also have obligatory Dragon Wings and Glint’s Gaze skin, and Toxic skins for added dragon-ness. Ascended gear, bag slots, and a hair kit too. Next step is the Foefire Hammer skin!

I ran a build with Zerker weapons and accessories, and valk armor. Depending on what runes you put in them along with consumables I was sitting around 19k ish health. I think with all zerk i was around 16-17k health. If that helps you any.

been building it over the last few weeks. pretty much only pve stuff. havnt been crazy enough to craft ascended armor.
