After the trait, Soothing Hibernation procs, using the skill Crystal Hibernation right after has no affect. You would still be rooted in place doing the animation, but you will not block, or heal for the duration. It’s full cool-down time will go off as well.

It’s pretty annoying, during clutch moments in PvP.

I noticed this once as well. Also in PvP (hotjoin).

I saw this once too and it also looks like part of the animation doesn’t start (the little crystal things).

Can confirm – traited version went off and I used the skill version straight after. It locked me down in animation but no healing or blocking occurred so I still took fill damage and the opponent did not have “unblockable”, I’ve noticed this a couple of times now.

Yeah, I tweeted Roy about it. It blows. I got myself killed so many times.

Soothing Bastion also triggers in downed state, causing you to go into that stance, but no effect on your downed health that I recall.
