The aim of these changes is to make revenant a bit more manageable for other classes. We felt that it is still a bit too effective when it moves and are toning things down in a few areas.

Shiro
Riposting shadows- This skill no longer evades or stun breaks, instead will immobilize you while casting AoE swiftness (180).We didnt like the idea of a legend being able to stun break and evade (even though there are no escape skills on the class).

Phase traversal- Now has a 3 second cast time. Energy cost is now 55. We felt that the teleport is a bit too strong so we are giving other classes a chance to interrupt it.

Impossible Odds- This skill no longer applies superspeed or quickness, instead will cause you to be slowed for 5 secs while applying superspeed (1s) to allies within 180 units

*All condi removal skills have been removed from the class. “Revenant has too much power” (real quote from a developer) so doesnt need condi cleanse.

I wonder how close i am to the real thing

There is no way these changes will actually happen thankfully. Aside from that, what happened to Anet just making everything more powerful to match something else being powerful which was their original design decision.

typically yes, until it gets too much then they start nerfing. Rev is special though, its the reverse, pretty much like warrior and thief of the old days

Surge of the mist: will knockdown only at the last hit. This is to give those slow reaction necro users the time to dodge it before beeing CCed. Dmg has been reduced to 1 x hit, cuz we think that evading and CC is already enough for a skill, especialy whit all the other usefull skills that revenant staff has. Aniway, since it is an immediate cast time skill, if you fail to hit anything you will fall down at the end of the skill animation and lose all the energy. This is to be sure that revenant has literaly no chance to chain/combo skills.
Unreleting assault: we think this skill is too usefull in team fights. So now UA will hit enemies and ally too randomly. If UA is interrupted by opponent stealth, revenant will suffer pulmonary attack like the thief trait thing. This is to punish even more the only skill of the game interruptable by stealth.
Staff 2: we added a nice tool in the game, that will allow players who have linked a phone number to they account to recieve a sms messaging “staff 2 revenant incoming, prepare to dodge or block… or whatever dude just move” whenever a nearby enemy revenant opponent start casting staff 2.
Phase traversal: revenant has too high mobility and its too hard to kite. Now this skill will have reduction range t0 180, 200% energy consume.
Precision strike: fixed a bug that permitted this skill to hit opponents sometimes. Now those projectile will fall down on the floor by default hitting nothing.
Shield skill 5: healing by pulse reduced to 10 hp per sec, now revenant is susceptible to any cc skill while beeing stuck in this skill. To be sure this skill will completely become a disadvantage to revenant, we are thinking to make every attacks of the others classes unblockable in the next patches, so we will be finaly able to call this skill “sitting duck”.
