Ok I have been kicked from a fractal group for the last dam time. When can we finally play revenant in pve again with out getting a heap of kittening trash talk. This class was the reason I purchased your expansion and I can’t even play it because you just get kicked all the time? Would love to try out raiding but wait I like revenant, do the raid groups care or want a rev? no…. I can’t even enjoy it in wvw anymore because with all the condi you just cant fight it (yes I am into roaming). Right now the only place your wanted on this class is in a wvw zerg as a resistance bot.. yippee oh how so fun!

Seriously how much longer do we have to wait for this class to be viable again? Its basically been half a class or “incomplete” since HOT came out.

I guess you just found bad lfg groups for fractals.
I mostly do fractals with revenant and dont have problems.

Same in raids, you actually can do some raidbosses with rev.
Cairn/Deimos – Kiter, easiest Job for this bosses.
VG/Matthias – Condition rev is good dmg for this bosses.
Sabetha – Kiter/Healer is also a thing here.
Escort – At least condi rev ist the best class for backwargs. Wargs cant even run 5 meters.

Yes, revenant is no allround dps class like cranger/ele but you can play it on raids.

I dont play wvw so i cant say anything about this.

I solo roam on a glass hammer/staff rev with only renewing wave and riposting shadows to cleanse condi. Idk what to tell you, don’t fight reapers and condi chrono with double melee rev?

It’s not really a roaming build. I just made a glass cannon for fun and then started to wvw guild raid with it and was bored so tried solo roaming with it. Retired my druid for it.

In these 2 vids I was using a magi staff with cleansing/renewal and a bloodlust sigil on hammer. Changed them out. Also changed from precision utility to power.

I like how the damage looks on that but for outnumbered would that work? This is what i want to work towards. When invoking legends more toughness. Also do you know if cruel repercussion works for blocks evades etc???

Outnumbered it all depends on enemy and what they are running. Idk how your build will play because I don’t play bunker. Cruel Reprecussions triggers on any negate and only is consumed on the next strike. Thieves get gutted by CoR double proc if the first strike is blinded because of this.

Unblockable doesnt help blind right? The combo of COR and the other one that makes my next two attacks unblokable is a great combo. Also what about when someone goes invuln such as a mes or guard

The unblockable is just for blocks but is great for hammer.

Invulnerable people proc the trait, I’ve oneshot a warrior who veneanced with an 11k phase smash.

Pretty much this. I play condi Rev and my friend runs Power Rev and we bust through Dungeons and fracts with no issue. When we pug we don’t have any issue seeing Revs either as they do pump out enough dps to be worth keeping around. And as long as you’re built dps we don’t care. Heck, we’ve even run 4/5 Revs a few times with no issue and were just as quick with our fracts as normal. Some groups are just so “meta” that they can’t see beyond what qT or other “meta builds” are saying.

I do remember playing condi Rev in raids when they first dropped and was doing a good amount of dmg. Tried it again when wing 2 dropped and was still doing good dmg. And now that they’ve been buffed I see no reason for them to not be useful. It’s just a matter of the idiots -ahem- people you run into.

Either way, though; keep at it. Rev is still a great class. Just need to find better company.

You say you want to TRY raiding, but can’t because you play Revenant? Since you’ve never tried raiding before, you should be joining Training Runs, not experienced speed clear groups. You’ll find that training groups are much more flexible with your class selection. Experienced groups are probably going to kick you anyways—no matter what class you’re playing—because it will quickly become apparent that you don’t know what you’re doing.

As for fractals, Rev’s actually one of the strongest classes in a PUG group due to their buff versatility, insta bar breaks, unlimited i-frames, and easy consistent damage. Even if they weren’t, people in fractals are usually pretty chill about your class selection, so long as you don’t just constantly die and/or bomb the group.

WvW… I dunno what to tell you man, I roam as power Glint/Shiro with swords and a staff and it’s good times. Just don’t try to 1v4 a bunch of condi cheezers. That’s probably true for every class except face roll warrior mode though. And yeah, in a zerg, people will expect you to be a resistance bot… But, like, nobody’s role is really that fun in organized zerg play.
