until Herald is completely unlocked?

I am three deep in the line, and the first minor specifically states I can equip shields, but no dice. And when I pull up the legends with F1, the square is greyed out.

You need to equip the spec in the third slot to use shield.

in order to use specializations you need to equip the specialization trait line.

the first minor trait in the line alowes you to use specialization skills as well as the new weapons.

Thank you much guys. Now I have a shield with no skills lol.

Gives me something to shoot for. Puts a face on the grind, fun though.
