Collin is Gone SO...
>Unrelenting Assault
I can totally agree that its inability to properly shadowstep when in range of a target and its issue with structures and multiple enemies in the immediate area makes this skill worse than it ought to be. Just like Precision Strike’s projectile issues, it can glitch and make one question why they ever bothered using the skill.
Honestly, I’d rather they just make it focus on a single target (maybe cleave anything you pass through within your target’s immediate area as you bounce around or ignore others entirely) and fix the obstructive issues the skill has. Maybe do something similar with Precision Strike’s projectiles or rework the skill entirely. I don’t understand why Sword skills bounce around so when the Devs intended for it to be used to “single out targets”
(I still wish that they restore UA’s attacks back to 5 bounces but remove the Might gain effect…)
>Class Balance
Hoo, that’s a whole new can of worms.
I would say that Revenants are just different compared to other classes. With our utilities/Elites locked to our Legends, we cant run a power build like Shiro+Glint while still having Mallyx’s ability to address getting loaded up on condis. We’re made to pick and choose what our strengths are, and that impacts what weaknesses we get with them.
It sucks, but unless we’re given the ability to use 3 Legends (thus being able to choose Ventari or Mallyx in addition with two others), we have to rely on Sigils, Invocation’s Condition cleanse on Legend Swap, Staff’s condi cleanse skill, or just flat out avoiding/blocking a condi-bomb.
I do agree that Ventari’s kinda clunky and needs some reworking and adjusting, though.

Colin is done, now you are in hands of Karl so.. get Karled (look at guard, thief, ele)
But tbh im not sure what Colin has to do with rev..

not sure myself, i assume the director has a big say on the direction of the classes. Roy and his team may have designed it but i dont think they are completely autonomous
I doubt Colin had much to do with it. He directed the entire game. All of the content, the planning for the future, and the management of how the teams function, etc. was his decision-making. Class design and implementation details were probably something he didn’t do much with aside from approving them or maybe giving some feedback.

Colin had next to nothing to do with class balance. For the HoT stuff, that was Karl, Roy, and Richard (and Hugh?). Not sure who’s working on it now.
Why is the ventari heal the way it is? that is probably the biggest reason why it is not being used, there is no heal. Secondly, by default the tablet should follow the user around. You can make Ventari’s will a utility skill..
I won’t comment on the rest of the post, but will comment on this particular part because it is a sorely needed change.
Ventari is held back tremendously because of having to micro manage the tablet. The way it works makes it not worth taking because you end up managing only the tablet and not being able to do anything else. This game’s high mobility also makes it a problem. The tablet NEEDS to follow the Rev.

In this case you might as well remove the tablet ad make these “regular” skills. But tbh nothing will be done about Jalis, Ventari or Mallyx. Its gw2 after all

That’s a good point, and I’d actually be okay with that honestly. I really just can’t get behind Ventari anymore. It is so situational at best, and even then, it’s still not a good choice to make compared to the other legends.
It’d be nice for the next Elite Spec to be able to switch out a core Legend. I’d dump Ventari in the trash as soon as it became available!
Doubt Colin had anything to do with any profession’s design. He seemed to be more of a PR “damage control” person.
