Condi revenant test
i’ve discovered new trait synergy that allows me to click a button 3 times to get 40 stacks of torment (dealing 10k damage to moving targets) XD
this is in pvp too without pve armour/buffs
Demonic Defiance grants resistance when you use a demon skill.
Maniacal Persistence causes AoE torment when you gain resistance. (4 stacks)
Abyssal Chill causes torment when you apply chill. (2 stacks)
add it all together and simply casting Unyielding Anguish applies 17 stacks of torment.
if you wait for your energy to get up to around 80 you can cast it 3 times in a row for 40 stacks
I got 28.5k pretty much same set up, change was malice → geomancy instead.
My rotation was essentially the same as yours however also added in axe 5 off cooldown. This pulls a lot of energy so I found myself cancelling avatar right at the end (last second of jalis cooldown) then reactivating it then swap.
Some guy on the reddit got 29.5k apparently
I’m curious, why the Jalis hammers? You could increase your DPS with Herald via boons + popping F2 / Elements. To my knowledge, hammers wouldn’t do much for a Condi build?
dont think it would work in pvp – rip boon with 3 sigils, necro thief. too risky to have conditions on revenenat
I look forward to your video.

We’re talking in a raid scenario with buffs from 4 other teammates. Glint seems to underperform when you can take invocation/devastation/corruption instead of herald. The hammers do a surprising amount of damage in full viper especially with the buffs from devastation.
For pvp or wvw I would definitely take herald over devastation and potentially switch invocation to retribution.
For any non raid pve I take invocation/corruption/herald.

This^
Also jalis hammers make you proc a lot of torment with crits.

I’ll have to give this a try myself
I used a similar gear setup to test condi rev for PvE, managed to hit 30k on a stationary golem.

Holy kitten… you mean… condi rev might actually be Raid viable now?!

Could you test it with UA instead of EtD with the new torment on chill trait?
Playing Smite since mid s2, f broken gw2.

Yup.

I actually tried this already. The DPS output was considerably less because Unyielding Anguish completely depleted my energy and the additional torment output didn’t make up for it.

Can confirm, UA is a bad choice in pve over EtD, tried out only UA and a combination of EtD and UA, but ran out of energy too fast as well and the 10% buff, pulsing torment and Diabolic Inferno does way too much damage

Nice man! Got similar numbers taking condition infusions and adding axe 5 in my rotation.
Still, sadly, I think the rotation is really unforgiving and Just a Little mistake can you male lose way too much dps.
Didin’t actually already tested it in real raid scenario, since I’m busy at trying other classes, but I think it can work really well IF you can adapt perfecty the rotation at bosses’s mechanics…
So I really think condi revenant is very viable now, yes you Need actually some good skill to put out good DPS since I think real raid bosses would require you a perfect Energy management.
Really hope arenanet will soon lower the Energy cost of some rotation’s skills a bit, since other condi classes, that are still in working progress, can already push out from 35k to 38k DPS, while also providing more cc.
Btw a very huge step for condi rev, that finally seems can be a sold pick as DPS.
How does it compared to the typical Glint/Jalis Power Revenant?

Seems to be about 3k higher.

The real question is whether this new condi rev build will beat the damage of the condi ps warrior in an actual raid situation. To get the highest damage you apparently have to not take Glint, so the rev’s buffing capabilities can’t be leaned on here, as it’s a purely selfish dps build. It would be interesting to hear actual raid results, but it still suffers by relying on torment. A lot of the bosses don’t move at all or are moved very little, so I worry that you wouldn’t really be able to take full advantage. Making VG move more to help the condi rev, for example hurts the other other classes. And if the boss does move, he’s not standing in your fire fields.
If someone playing this build in a raid can’t reliably beat the condi ps, I’m afraid you won’t see it much.
How about this version?

I have been practicing rotations the past days and reached 30.9k today. 31k soon™.

Also regarding gear, I have tried a lot of different setups: Trapper/Nightmare, Tormenting, Balthazar, Flame Legion and other runes. The same goes for sigils. I have tried malice, bursting, smoldering, geomancy and earth. But interestlingly enough running with 92% condi duration gets me better results than 100%.
