Q:

Hey all, I am having trouble in game dealing with all the condi pressure and am curious on how you guys deal with it. I am finding that when I am matched against a couple actually good Necro’s or condi Mesmers I can’t do a thing against them, and if they target me in a team fight its just a matter of time before I drop like a rock. Do you guys just disengage before it gets to that or do you have some way of fighting it? Do you find it difficult to deal with too or am I just doing something wrong ?
Thanks for your input!
power shiro
switch between devastation retribution and invocation depending on the match with herald. marauder amulet or for the tanky option I go paladins
Also what build do you think works best for heavy condi pressure games?

You should be able to handle condi necros by bursting them down or kitting.
About mesmers or warriors avoid engaging them unless you have a auramancer nearby.

For condi heavy oponents without necros running condi rev could work.

If your side has no support and the opponent has more than 1~2 condi user don’t use rev.

pvp

sigil of generosity + purity(i wish you could use sigil of cleansing)
invocation(make sure to use roiling mists)/retribution/herald.
staff+sword shield
cavalier amulet
you can pick what rune to use but i use rune of melandru

swap legends often to remove condi.
only use your glint heal when there is +3 condis with high stack.

dont fight condi mesmer/thief 2v1 as they will kite you as you lack range.

Why cavaliers over knights?

Both provide same toughness and power but knights is precision(more crits) over cavaliers ferocity (stronger crits) then use a rune like hoelbrek…i think it would work avout the same for survivalbility and you will be hitting much harder on average

I will give your suggestion a try, but should i still use roiling mists?

If you go invocation you should always take rolling mists.
Both other traits are bad in practice.

As mentioned above put Sigil of Generosity on one weapon set and a Sigil of Purity on the other weapon set. Use Hoelbrak or Meladru or Leadership runes. With invocation swap legends often to clear one condi.

With the above setup ive actually had top scorer for Conditions removed from Self several times which is kinda crazy really.

I played Mallyx last season for a while and it did quite well even with the OP necros. With the necro nerf now it should do better against them.

I switched to Power Rev now just to learn it better.

The only problem is if a necro uses boon corrupt smartly, it should shut down a condi rev because they rely on the boons they have to survive.

With enough cover condis the boon corrupt from scepter was never a problem. Honestly i didnt have a problem vs Necros in Season 2 as a Condi Rev.

Now that merc amulet is gone both necro and condi rev will be squishier.
