Things I am gonna talk about :
- Energy (this really needs to change !)
- Legends (this one too !)
- Cast times (so does this one !)
- Dev Menu and Tools
- Shiro dmg legend and no dmg done?
ENERGY
This has gone too far now and it still hasn’t changed. It makes no sense to have energy cost on weapon skills with cooldowns. Please someone at Anet have brain and see obvious design flaw here. You have COOLDOWNS on weapon skills, why the kitten would you add energy cost on top of it? You are already gonna use weapons skills 2-4 at certain times, you are unable to spam them apart from AA. Do you guys really not see,how stupid it is,to have energy cost on top of cooldowns? Let me say it again…you have energy cost on top of cd’s of weapon skills. One last time in slowest slo-mo possible….you have ENERGY COST ON TOP OF CD’S OF WEAPON SKILLS !?!?!?!?!?!?!
Solution : Remove energy cost on weapon skills or remove cd’s on weapon skills and keep energy cost.
LEGENDS
They are cool, but there is serious lack of diverstiy with Utility skills. You pick 2 Legends…ok cool…but you have no choice of what you want in Utility skills and heal skill or elite. You are stuck with them. And then on top of it,you are stuck with those skills for 10s in combat. Ignore the fact, how you’ll burn through your energy in matter of seconds (I’ll talk about Chieftain fight later).
Other classes can create their own set of Utility skills, that will help them in fight. For example ele…takes Signet Of Restoration, nowdays usually all 3 cantrips in Utility skills and FGS as elite. So you have Signet, Cantrips and Conjure Weapons. If ele was like revenant,he’d be stuck either with all Signets or all Cantrips or all Conjure Weapons, which would suck big time.
At the end of the day, Utility Skills for revenant need more diversity. And only Shiro legend, which is offenisve one, offers stun break? Really? And if you are sitting at 50% energy, you’ll use that once, maybe twice and then you’ll be out of energy.
Solution : Make Legends only for heal skill and elite, while in Utility skill people can actually choose something?
CAST TIMES
You say, that you see, that some cast times were too long and make class unplayable, yet you still put some godawful long cast times on some skills. Why is that? Talking this as pvp thing,it just isn’t viable to have cast time of 1s or more. 1s might not seem much, but 1s in pvp is alot.
DEV MENU AND TOOLS
I am sure it’s cool to play in that, but if you play like developer, where you can bypass and ignore ruels, you put on us normal people, no wonder classes come out broken. I am not talking about videos that were on loop for skills. I am talking about fights you demonstrate and practice on your own time. And it’s hard to compare your dmg, when you play with Runes of Ogre on those npc’s,where you get rock dog and it does some dmg, takes aggro, etc.
Chieftain fight for example:
6-7s into fight and you were already out of energy. For “high dmging” Shiro legend, Chieftain got down to…wait for it…75% – ish of his hp 10s into that fight?. Unrelenting Assualt, which is really flashy skill, seems weak. And that was, when you only had 1 target. When you are gonna be around 3 enemies, original target of UA is probably not even gonna feel any dmg.
*SHIRO DMG LEGEND AND NO DMG DONE *
I think I’d burst down any Golem faster with revenant’s staff autoattack vs Unrelenting Assualt. Call me crazy, but that skill should do more dmg. Pistol Whip on Thief does more and no one play that these days. I know you were around other Golems in that fight, but that’s my point from above. UA is a flashy skill, but has no dmg to it. At least no real dmg from what I’ve seen. If you compare what Rytlock does vs what you did…it’s like night and day. Apart from having same animation, dmg output completley different. I am not saying you should 1 shot 3 people around you with it,but people should be afraid of you using UA.
AA seems fine, but rest not impresed.
I get skills should be used at certain times, depending on situation, but seems like revenant will be ok for pve,but still weak in pvp. Maybe he’ll do ok in Stronghold, where revenant could hide behind the fact, that enemies will go for objectives, but bring him in Conquest and you’ll cripple your team from get-go. One side will have 6 players, other will have 4.
