Well there is a trait that gives bonus 25% damage when downed and and AoE 3 second stun when downed. This looks really strong both 1v1 and in teamfights, since Jade Winds looks to be a powerful CC skill.
Revenant downstate can already prevent a stomp by using a teleport skill that moves the enemy and it works through things like stability, plague, and rampage (not sure about invuln). This skill, combined with jade wind on down and the 25% damage, will make a DPS revenant have the best downstate in pvp by far. Also, we already know from downstate necromancer that a DPS spec with fire/air sigils get the boost applied to thos sigils on top of the strong downstate damage, meaning that in some cases those professions can deal almost as much single target damage from downstate as they are when they actually have health.
Will the jade wind trait have an energy cost associated it with it? Thats the only way it seems balanced in my opinion.
Plus the other trait choices in the tier look good too, such as the might stacking trait that revenant desperately needed. Either way what do you guys think? Is this too strong? Or is it balanced appropriately?
And Roy, if you’re out there, will this trait be balanced by an energy cost? And great work with designing this legend, before I had my doubts, but now I have no doubt that the revenant will be a very strong AND fun profession to play in each game mode!

Pretty sure thieves, mesmers, guardians, engies will all be able to stomp a rev on their first attempt. Which makes their downed state less reliable than thief, mesmer, or ele downed state.
Revenant has crap survivability however. Feels like a thief with less evade and no invisibility.

Well their 2 skill goes through stability mind you. Blind probably blocks it. I don’t know if elixer S blocks it since plague/rampage are displaced by it too. I’m referring more about the Jade Winds on down than anything else, since that looks like the strongest on down effect by far. Just CC your foe, attack them and have sigil procs kill them and teleport them away if they live through the 3 second AoE stun.
If you’re killing people after you get downed, it would actually be thematically fitting. Shiro died and then went on to continue killing people. You’re pretty much reliving his life whenever you go down :P

Well thats why the jade wind saves them. Although stunbreaks would stop but still.
