I like the idea of making it aoe, but instead of blocking it should give retaliation per targets hit with a max of 5 to not make it op. As it is right now the retribution traitlines seems to be needing more retaliation than the 2 sec on dodge or halos heal.
if it hit 5 target aoe might be too strong for its nrg and cd.
it should be a break stun, aoe range 240, nrg 30
would if buff the tankiness abilities – dont think so.
still jalis lacks in blocks, remove conditios, retaliation theme, stunbreak.
the whole idea for now in group support mainly with stability, dmg reduction
if you want jalis to be a tank this is what you need
RotgD – an elite which reduce dmg and condition dmg on you (not your team) by 50%. duration 10 sec. after the 10 sec it heals allies for 50% the dmg you took and remove 3 aoe conditions. internal cd 30 sec.
the trait versed in stone should be instead when reach 50% hp use RotgD. RotgD gives retaliation for 10 sec.
How about this. Blocks 2-3s and taunts 3 targets. After block duration gain retaliation 5s.

>Forced Engagement
Perhaps it should be a skillshot that can affect those who are in a 180~240 radius of the target or Pierce similarly to Banish Enchantment. (25~30 Energy)
>Inspiring Reinforcements
Change it from a Light Road to a Shout like skill. (self) Stun Break and provides a stack of Stability to those around you and the user for 3 seconds (30 Energy)
Vengeful Hammers
Make it pulse Retaliation (1s) (self) every 3 seconds. Increase Upkeep cost by 1.
>RotGD
Cost 35 energy. Reduces incoming Damage and Condition Damage by 50% for 4 seconds. Traited ver removes the auto-trigger and instead gives Legendary Dwarf skills a single condition cleanse on an ICD of 5~8 sec
In addition:
Steadfast Rejuvenation: Recover small amount of health (or Regeneration) and gain healing power (up to 200 or so) on successfully blocking attacks. (1~2 sec ICD)
(edited by Euthymias.7984)
Make it pierce and also grant buff of 1 block (5sec) per each target struck. Use the skill’s icon on the buff bar with a number counter to keep track of remaining blocks.

I think the piercing alone would make the skill much better. Since it doesn’t pierce yet has 1200 range, anything else like a minion. mesmer clone, or just another unintended enemy that’s in the way will stop you from hitting your target.

Thanks~
I considered it, but Revenants already have so many ways to block (and evade) on multiple weapons (Sword 4, Shield 5, Staff 3) that I didnt really want to add another defense on top of all of it. Or we'll get even more complaints about our defenses like Guardians did
I feel like with those changes, you can still mitigate damage well when your blocks are on CD. Having a trait that can cleanse a condition when using a skill in that stance gives it some extra resilience, but there will be a choice between using it and using Steadfast Healing to benefit you beyond Dwarf stance.
I’m not sure how much it should stack and the duration of such, however.
