just hope her elite is a direct dmg spike type, is the only thing reve elites havent done so far and lack in the dmg department; a nice spike.

i wonder what the specialization name will be, or what kind of core mechanic change will bring to revenant

the other good new is that with this reveal only warr left before Anet finally is forced to show us some medium armor reveals

That is some kitten fus-roh-dah looking art, I hope the Elite is the skill Rytlock uses on the VB cutscene, spamming drgon ghosts at people is bad kitten enough to compensate anyhthing, heck you could make the other 4 skills spam chickenados and with the elite being that skill I’d be happy.

Actually that kind of gets me hyped for Berserker, if they follow the same motto than the original reveals, they revealed the professions they had to work most of because the devs thought mechanics were more complex, I’m not getting my hopes up since E-specs are just different ways to play the profession so far the only one that seems to be more effective than the original core specs is chronomancer, others are below what you could do with the core specs.

I was expecting rev to be last…it is the new class already, that itself is new information. Other classes deserve to have their new information now.. it doesn’t make sense to me but whatever lol. Can’t complain. Information is information.

That’s probably a skin you get when you unlock the elite spec. That’s my speculation about all the new elite spec skins.

Wow, really excited. It’s definitely a surprise because everyone expected Rev elite spec to be the last.

We have tank, condi, heal, dmg. So what could it be? Maybe some aoe dmg? Boon sharing? Hope it provides some ranged options.

Really expected the rev to be the last one revealed, they must be having some issues with the remaining classes elite specs or something.

Then it looks like Glint spec could possibly be getting 5 signets for their utilities, scroll down till you see the revenant icons (near the bottom), you see 5 blue themed icons of what appear to be signets for revenant including one that looks like a dragon head and one that looks like a dragon wing.

Oh my! I can’t wait until they show it to us! Is it time yet? >.< How about now?!

I’m mainly happy that the delusion some people have about specializations not being able to receive the same weapons is now officially cleared up.

I also excepted revenant to be last one. But its not surprise that rev is the one who need work the most, probably thats a reason why they going to reveal it. Its a whole class class after all.

Finally i will be able to decide for once what class i want to main..But i guess rev. I started to love Mallyx.. cus i hate condi builds.. and this one allow me to punish them so hard like noone else. Rip eles – i always hated ya guys.

Since we only get an offhand weapon, following Tempest and Chronomancer, the class mechanic should get something added instead of something replaced (so unlike Reaper and Dragonhunter). Just a theory.

So maybe Glint will be on F2? Or we may get additional passive effects when channeling a legend (like 10% damage reduction on Jalis)?

The special mechanic will kick you into glint, and when you legend swap you turn into a dragon

If they add a third Legend, no other Elite Spec after Glint will ever be used, because 3 Legends > 2 Legends and whatever Fluff you add to the Elite Spec.

Op. Nerf now! :O Self healing + summons + claws. Such broken.

NapTooN does raise a good point about a third legend making base Revenant redundant, but then the same could be said of Tempest and Chronomancer. The only thing you seem to lose on those is one of your chosen trait lines (I’ll never get used to calling them specializations).

I dunno about passives too… I recall a dev (probably Roy) saying they had experimented with that early on and found it just resulted in people picking legends for their passives. I’m guessing that was before they settled on the fixed skill bar idea though, so maybe they’d revisit it with elite spec? I guess it seems the most likely thing so far though.

There’s also energy but I don’t see what they could do with it aside from some sort of bonus from using it or saving it up. I guess if Glint is getting signets, and in GW1 they didn’t use energy, so there’s a possibly synergy there between a reworked energy mechanic and the new legend… But then it wouldn’t translate back to the other legends so, seems unlikely.

Hope this one will help with energy management in some way. Other traitlines never give any energy.

you already get energy passively and from legendswap.

if this spec gives more energy then the others then it would just become mandatory for any build.

I understand energy is a problem, but it just requires tweaks on energy cost. Plus that’s another topic.

Don’t you think that specializations for Revenant will be boring? Necro has new shroud, guardian has traps and new virtues, mes is having fun with time, engi has drones and hammer. Is Glint specialization going to be 5th legend?

They could introduce a branding system in which you gain a single target F3 like hex that depends on legends the first 4 sec of swapping legends you gain a lesser but mixed or a special of the two Jallis could get “for the next 2 sec your foes attacks are blocked” but anyway yes rev should have been last.

So far we have seen.. offhand elite spec adds additional mechanic, while two hand changes it completely.

Mes>f5
Draggy hanta>new virtues
Reaper>new shroud

We have seen war in stream with f2 and most likely his wep is a torch.

That gives revenant a possibility to either get f2 or a special bonus for camping one legend. I doubt Glint will be a f2 legend as shes just another type of utilities, not to mention that rev would end up with 3 healing skills which would make elite spec mandatory for any build.

I vote for f2 key personally.

In all seriousness though, take a very close look at the picture. Notice the features on the person have crystalline features on it? That’s hair on him but look closely, it looks crystallized. So does his body/armor. And then there’s the shoulder. That may not be armor, it maybe an effect from the Legend. Maybe something that transforms you into a crystal dragon form. And the picture is him in the middle of transformation.

Glint will give you only healing and elite skills, but also will allow you to match and mix utilities. New Mechanic!

Fits well. I doubt f2 will end up as a upkeep skill/transformation skill. It would end as a transform locking us out of utility skills as it will clash with other transformation effects like rite/embrance…yeah…have someone tried to mix rite with embrance? O.o

No point to speculate stuff tho, soon we will get info.

And rite of the dwarf is basically a slighty improved protection atm. If that skill made it into game i except an ability that really will punish hard those that will try to attack you during that time.

Mallyx is about punishing those that load conditions on you. Glint could be doing the same, but against power builds by reflecting damage back to it source. If it end up as simple weak retaliation i will be disappointed personally.

All we know is that Glint has one datamined skill which converts incoming damage to healing – i personally hope its not a healing skill. We all know how terrible defiant stance is. Howered as a utility skill it will be what revenant need, a different form of invul.
