Hey All,

Currently gearing up my Revenant and was wondering if you guys could possibly critique the build I am going for (using exotics for now plus my ascended trinkets). It isn’t really a specialized build or anything, mostly just to be used for general zerging in WvW/EotM, plus casual roaming around in PVE with friends as they level up through the story mode (3 or so buds just got the game!). I wanted it to have a good amount of survivablility and support while still outputting decent damage. I generally backline in zergs and jump to the front if we start to push (switching to sword/shield). Lots of might generation plus a fair amount of sustain with quite a bit of health stealing (2 weapon sigils, 4 skill on the hammer+autoattack, and the trait that steals health when attacking from the side/back). I know it isn’t a super specialized build or anything, but I was hoping you guys could take a look and help improve it if possible. Thanks so much!

Also… To piggyback off my initial question, would something like the above build work better than say a condition build for my intended uses? Thanks again!

Maybe change Sigil of fire to something else as it only have a range of 240 (best for melee). Sigil of Air might be work better as it is based on direct damage while sigil of fire (burn) scale of condition damage.

You are very vulnerable for direct hits with more or less a power build and very depending on a 10 sec recharge between Legendary stances to remove conditions.

Why haven’t you looked into Sigil of Bloodlust (stacking power), Battle (might) and those kind of sigils to get more DPS? Or you might want to add sigils that could help you slow down enemies with chill (on swap sigil + crit), confusion and that kind of sigils?

You do know that Facet of strength will give you might? Maybe you should try to get more Precision to ramp up your damage from Critical Damage and having a bit more Fury would make it happen?

I would suggest that you play around with Jalis and Shiro (GLint on both) to see what happens and how you might want change your play style.

Tweaked it a bit. The runes of strength are fancy, but expensive.

Sword/Shield sigils were swapped to Sigils of Force and Strength in order to help you keep stacking might and deal more damage. The vampiric runes tend to…Not be so grand due to their recharge times. The hammer sigils went to Force and Frailty, which will help it trigger the effects in the Devastation line,

Invocation was switched around to Incensed Repercussion, Incensed Response, and Roiling Mists.

Devastation was changed to Vicious Lacerations, Assassin’s Presence, and Swift Termination.

Changed Herald to Hardening Presence, Shared Empowerment, and Elder’s Force.

Overall, this will give more Might, more damage, and compatible survivability.
