Guild Wars 2

This weapon is an addition for the core Revenant class,it’s designed around defence and applying pressure to enemies.

1. Mistfire Slash – the AA,its a red line blured with dark mist effect,range 900
2. Envoy of Wrath – jump in a targeted area and apply burning, range 600, combo finisher leap, cooldown 10
3. Amplified Surge – a delayed attack which deals burst damage. range 1500, cooldown 25
4. Mist barrier: Creates a line in target area through which foes can not pass. Provides a combo field smoke – duration 5 seconds,cooldown 40
5. Temporal anomaly – spin in place and deflect projectiles, cooldown 25

Too similiar to hammer and to be honest I’d want Greatsword to be a heavy melee wep in the same role as hammer is for ranged. I am all for a ranged weapon for our class but it would have to be condi focused as we lack any kind of ranged condi atm.

As far as ranged condi weapon goes Rym has an awesome suggestion for dagger main hand to fill that role. Also I fail to see the resemblance between hammer and my gs because: a hammer does not come with a jump and b hammer doesn’t have projectile reflect and the ability to grant stealth -> barrier in jump.

Also I just realized I kittened up,the 4 was supposed to prevent enemies from crossing not defend againts projectiles,my bad.

Still hoping for Shortbow. Its pretty underutilized as a weapon.

For the next expansion I would like a new ranged weapon, based on conditions or hybrid damage. Pistol main hand.

If not, I would like to see a greatsword, but that weapon as a ranged one is already isn’t novelty (Mesmer). So… I want my Rev with a combi bolter/plasma/ melta gun

That’s brilliant. I would vote mainhand dagger as a ranged weapon, as long as is viable for condition builds.

My condi rifle/lb is 100x better. Also i would like to see gs as single target power weapon assuming if i ever return to this game yet alone touch rev. Its too fun to play as squirrel.

I dont know man revenant just screams greatsword melee attacks with some ranged thrown in.

I felt like that at first…but then I started looking at the final arc for Bleach and was like….fast ranged spamable attacks with a snipe just my work. And if you don’t believe put the Kodan breastplate with the Kodan pants and see for yourself….if you can get an actual mask on him the better.

It is more tedious than Ranger longbow, because cast time + need to combo XD.

It probably needs some tweaking, but honestly I kick kittens with it. I think people just get confused by it is all.

I’m with Knighthonor- rev already lacks a beefy melee greatweapon. Hammer is ranged, staff is more support-oriented, and sword is whippy. If they add GS to rev I really want it to be a beefy greatweapon-feeling melee weapon along the lines of ranger GS.

Hard hitting might be op with impossible odds but I agree for being a bust melee weapon more then a ranged weapons, but I don’t see why we can’t have obw or two hybrid of melee and ranged attacks from it

I don’t see it, but nice job putting it together. The only ranged weapon I see with the Rev is a Focus. One skill where it shoots a beam of immense heat and another where it opens a Rift in the sky causing your foes to float!

….So basicaly everyone is telling me to set the range of the AA to 130 and leave the rest of the skills as they are?

I had no ideea there was a 1200 shortbow. As far as chances for new ranged weapons go,I divided my money on the following pattern:

shortbow – 20%chance
dagger as ranged – 25% (because I really liked Rym’s take on it)
gs as ranged – 10%
scepter – 20%
axe main hand ranged – 15%
rifle or pistol – 10%

Shortbow is a nope. 900 range is awful. I want rifle/lb. Just look at my baby;

4. Igniting Sphere – Ignite target area, burning nearby foes.

5. Diabolic Eruption – Blast the ground, damaging and immobilizing your foes. Upon blasting shadowstep backward.

-Shadowstep range: 600
-Combo Finisher: Blast

I’d rather they fix the other kittenty weapons we have already rather than introduce yet more weapons we won’t use or who’ll displace our current ones into disuse.

Ask Reapers how well the greatsword introduction went. It’s a garbage weapon.

Too many classes use the greatsword already. I’d like to see the class’s second ranged weapon be a little different just like it’s first.

Ranged should go to LB/Rifle, not GS< let the GS be melee, if anything for a melee wep they can still add main-hand axe or off-hand mace.

Personally, I’d rather see it as a hard hitting, close ranged weapon. Swords (and OH axe) does a fair job, but I’d rather see something like Hammer, but melee ranged.

Here is my idea:
1. Slash->Void Slash->Mist Slash (gain 1s quickness)
2. Blade of Disaster – Perform a large downward attack with the greatsword while summoning a massive sword from the mist that also drops onto attackers. (maul animation – attacks twice, sword attack is a blast finisher)
3. Circle of Ruin – Slash the sword in a circle creating an expanding unstable rift around you that damages foes and causes Torment. ( Berserker greatsword burst animation)
4. Mist Assault -Leap to target causing a burst of mist energy from your starting position, crippling foes where you left and causing vulnerability when you land-Leap finisher. Reduced recharge if first attack hits a target.(damage when you land and damage from where you left).
5. Mist Storm – Area is bombarded with mist energy, causing damage and burning (fire field) ->Rift Eruption. Cancel bombardment and strike your sword into the ground causing massive damage, knocking down foes and granting retaliation.

This is what I would love to see, a lot of movement a lot of bursty big hits, and some utility thrown in.

Personally, I wouldn’t like to see it tied to another elite spec, and instead just make it a baseline upgrade. Perhaps throw in a GS talent to one of the existing lines to give it a little more flavor.

Also, I’m a little biased since I just finished my Twlight and I think the color scheme of it goes perfectly with the Rev.

I think Rifle is equally underutilized.

A shadow rifle has a neat sound to it.

Not a fan of yet another Greatsword.

I’d like to see more underused weapon types.

They need a ranged Condi weapon.

GS is common as melee but as ranged not so even mesmers dont use it in 2\3 of time. So GS would be perfect ^^

Instead of a gs I would prefere 20x time a bow, with a dinamyc playstile like shortbow for thieves.
