which would you rather get first if at all?

Great Axe
or
Greatsword
?

for a melee weapon.

I am kinda torn between the two, no pun intended.
GS has so many great looking skins in the game. it has the best artist IMO.

But GreatAxe was something I been looking forward to since pre-release concept art showed it off. The artist may be able to pull off some awesome Greataxe skins on GS level. but its a wait and see I guess :/

Greataxes are far cooler than Greatswords. Then I can run around beheading everyone like an Executioner.

2handed Greatshields also pwn Greatswords but games generally lack enough imagination for that.

I would go with tables and forks. Maybe carryable radiators? Or maybe a Jurassic Park – Rolling glass ball to sit in and roll over everyone!

I didn’t suggest that because it would be too OP and would get the whole class another huge nerf. No thanks.

Greatswords, cause sword > axe any day

None. I don’t really like the idea of yet another profession with greatsword.

One handed weapons fit Revenant’s playstyle and design more and I wouldn’t like this profession to be next cliche design.

There actually was an ingame chatcode for this. It was tagged a hammer though.
The chances for this to ever come true though is as high as getting land spears.
There would be a huge skin shortage, which is a nono for a cosmetic game like GW2.
They already stopped making new underwater skins.
