Is kinda fugly. Too dull. The icon makes it look shiny but the actual shield just looks like a big chunk of dull debris that came from a sunken ship.

I think you are looking for the shield that you get completing the herald collection, that shield is the shiny one.

The exotic version is meh on purpose. When you upgrade to ascended, that’s when the drool comes.

The other elite specs’ weapons aren’t fugly. I don’t see why the herald one should be.

Sorry, but swinging a freshly pulled out Tree with my Druid feels pretty ugly to me. Yggdrasil looks awesome and like an actual Staff, but the simple Tree is nothing i would call “not fugly”.

The Mesmer shield is a dull metal disc with a triangle stuck to it prior to upgrading it, the Engineer hammer is a dull single-shade wrench shaped hunk of metal before finishing the collection, all the beginning weapons look like poop on purpose, making them neat and shiny is the entire point of the collection
