Herald was exactly what Revenant needed.

Definitely accurate.
I also want to emphasize how good Glint is gonna be for dungeons/fractals. Facet of the Elemental provides decent aoe cleave, while Chaotic Release lets you knock down all enemies to prepare to burst them with your team. The changes to Unrelenting Assault also further improve your aoe cleave. The rest of Glint is just amazing boon support and with all the vulnerability stacking of a sword+shiro, parties are gonna welcome Revenant with open arms
Hm..im not sure yet about dropping traveler runes..then again..if i pair that with Shiro and Glint i may end up with 18 seconds of swiftness just by using f2 off cd cus as i understand upkeep will affect it by 50% boon duration.
Pact runes = basically 100% boon duration on swiftness.
Runes of lyssa – good synergy with healing skill and elites that has no cd. Precision allows it to sneak few cavalier pieces and still stay above 50% crit chance. Most likely it will be my choice. Downside is that you cant really activate your elites if you want to cleanse..
Melandru and hoelbrak are meh tho.
Howered traveler runes will still be the way to go if you dont spec for herald. New Jalis looks interesing tbh but im not sold on his elite yet..then again Glint elite active part sux as well. Choices choices..its all down to how well Glint heal will perform really.

I work on systems, combat, skills, and balance.
I am actually worried about the viability of the baseline Revenant.
Right now, Herald seems like the best option pretty much every time.
The synergy between Jalis and Glint (and their traits) is downright beautiful.
- Fantastic stability – Unwavering Avoidance, Inspiring Reinforcement, Enhanced Bulwark
- Unparalleled dodge synergy – Enduring Recovery, Unwavering Avoidance, Retaliatory Evasion, Vigorous Persistence
- Excellent self-healing and ally healing – Rejuvenating Steadfast, Envoy of Exuberance, Crystal Hibernation, more if you take Staff
- Complementary damage reductions – Close Quarters, Determined Resolution, Hardening Persistence
And that’s just on the surface. It’s easy to make even more synergies. This is a professionally designed class.

While I didn’t get to try it (I could only play an hour or two last BWE), I want to try to get a Jalis/Malyx condi tank working, and I’m not sure how Glint could improve that :-p

The advantage of Glint over Jalis with a Mallyx build is that she gives you more Might, Fury, Swiftness, Protection, and Vulnerability, while also packing Elemental Blast, which really gives you a powerful Burning burst. Plus, all the boon duration helps you maintain Resistance.

Thought about those options too Zerg meta build confirmed, I doubt it’ll be useful outside WvW because of energy cost changes on Jalis, could make a nice Soldier/Celestial bunker for PvP.

Rev will be shunned from fractals. It’s looking way worse for group content than ranger and nec

You’ve got to be joking. I could list all the team oriented traits and utilities but it would take too long. I think it should suffice to say: Facets, Ventari, Herald, Jalis, Salvation. We’ve got an aoe 50% damage reduction skill!

On the contrary, a Revenant running Shiro/Glint and a Staff+Sword/Shield can potentially rival if not completely replace a PS warrior. AOE Ferocity increase, AOE might stacking, AOE Fury, and AOE Protection and +50 outgoing boon duration to all party members gives it very good group support AND DPS.
