So i was with a zerg to hunt down people with low hp, when i was hunting for this necro he had like 30% hp when out of nowhere i died… i was like hmmm maybe he was a power necro and with some combos he ate my hp, but when i realized he got help from a rev, i was curious for the combat log and i found this gem 21, 432 CoR, he had no buffs from zerg cos he jsut arrived to the fights so im kinda curious i had 2.3k armour at that time and full hp (19,116)

wow, was that the first impact the final one?

Either way is hard to believe he did that to you without you having loads of vulnerability and him having loads of might.

I’m no rev, but my guess is that:

• the Necro put loads of vulnerability on you
• the revenant had loads of might
• The final strike hit you.

They most likely procced Cruel Repercussion and probably had some other damage multipliers like Runes of the Scholar as well.

also food that give you 10% dmg well moving still 21k hit is very hard to do are you sure you did not have downstate effect on you ?

I have seen these numbers before, it’s not to far fetched they do have to run “Glassy” for these numbers, it can get worse if an attack was blocked.

if u check the combat log i downed after the 21k hit, i had no vunerability only chill if i remember well, and im pretty sure rev aint had more than 10 might, runes and others i dunno ofc but i was full hp so no multipliers like below 50%hp, but nowdays in wvw i encounter with 6-9k hammerbolts, and i facepalm evrytime when i get 9k from 1200 range, also that trait is wow i should check all the hot traits again because i aint know about that one

I think you had bad luck, + 50% additional damage after blocking an attack, next to max rank, next to vulnerability, next to zerk foods and zerk armor pve plus 20% damage increase when your hp is less than 50 % … I think you were just in a bad place at the worst time.

He said he was full health at 19k so no 20% while under 50%breally not a enoughinfo from the picture but it is possible, on average you see more 16-18k CoRs

Although a single 21 / 22k hit is unusual, it may be that Cruel Repercusion (+ 50% damage) was gained by striking for more than 8.5k. But the seal that increases 25 active damage charges and Speedy End also Been effective on only 1 hit?
I am main rev and I never remember hitting 20k with hammer, maybe 15k full zerk, full asc with scholar runes. We do not have enough info in the attachment and neither do we see the damage multipliers so it’s hard to know what happened to receive that absurd amount in 1 hit

I do know that you don’t need full Zerk to above 15k plus CoR with my Mara /Cav set using Furious Maintenance oils I can achieve those numbers but the 21k I would love to find out how because this would delete a lot of players and would bypass all the passive defense procs from 1200 range lol

As other people have said, it seems that all the stars aligned for him to be able to do this damage. Rev is able to have a bunch of damage modifiers (Targeted Destruction, Swift Termination, Cruel Repercussion, Ferocious Aggression, Elder’s Force, a bunch of vulnerability application, runes, food and such) and when everything is activated, you can get hits like this playing glassy rev.
Isn’t common for this to happen, but I guess every player that plays glassy hammer rev hit like this once in their lifetime.
