Jalis- effective at keeping opponents near him and fighting in melee.
- Inspiring reinforcement could have been a radial knock down while granting stability to allies
- Forced engagement could have been a pull similar to DH spear of justice
- Vengeful hammers could apply cripple on hit along with its current functions
- 3/4 sec cast time on Rite of the great dwarf

Shiro – effective at mobility and evasion which for the most part it does already, really dont know about the energy requirements though

Ventari – Ranged (longbow) and effective at support
- AoE ally blocks
- AoE ally cleanses
- AoE ally heals
*Could have had the tablet be manipulated to shift around doing all this while the caster is at range.

Glint – Effective at boon application
- convert condis to boons
- grants ally boons (pretty much what it does now
- heal should have been swapped with jalis and then had the new heal convert a few condis to boons
Facet of nature then could be removed and actually design an interesting F2 skill or none at all.

Mallyx – effective at condis
- remove resistance boon or move it to herald then have Mallyx deal with conditions some other way, maybe a non boon utility with native condi immunity/mitigation/duration decrease

With this kind of set up, you wouldnt have revenants only using shiro glint.

What i would change without changing to much of the class.
Jalis:
Force engagement AoE pull and taunt and applying protection to yourself.
Vengeful Hammers: Cripple enemies, Hammers do not dissapear after they hit something.
Inspiring reinforcements: Slow enemies, give stab to allies and give superspeed while walking on the road.
The change with the rite of the great dwarve is good.

Ventari:
Keep staff as weapon, longbow would a nice idea for elite spec dough.
Summon of the tablet should be automatically on legendswap and the destruction of the tablet is automatically followed by the summoning of a new one.
The Tablet is connected to the rev with a teather to give the rev always the effects of the skulls weather or not he is in range of the tablet. Increase the range of the tablet to 360. Give a stunbreak to the condi remove. The Tablet leaves a Waterfield trail when it moves which slowly dissapears (similar to the speed of the tempest warhorn firefield).

Glint:
Change the Facet of Nature to a F2 skill which matches the legend, facet of nature could stay as glint F2.
I would change the skills of glint to a more active way. When you activate the skill you activate the active part (which costs energy -> not much maybe 5-10) and after that the passive effect triggers and when the effect expires the active part triggers again, ofcourse you can trigger the active early.
To make this work i would change the fireskill to something similar like smitersboon, a fiery explosion which applies the same conditions as before, plus explo finisher. Add heal to the revealskill.
This way Glint is not just a dull boonbot and its more difficult to keep all boons up. Additionally it would give more useful support.

Mallyx: The skills are good but they should apply more conditions (2-3 stacks more, 2-4 s more), fix the elite and done.
Shiro is good, energy expensive but good.

Pale Raiders united.
9 Sylvari, 9 unique Builds.

People who don’t play Revenant or have very little experience with it wont understand how bad he phase traversal nerf is. Waiting for energy to port when you can neither attack or defend causes you to take more damage.

Believe it or not porting TO someone is good way of defending yourself not just from your target but from people around you. I imagine the devs have next to no experience playing revenant at a high level so they thought nearly doubling Phase Traversal energy would only give thief relief.

If this is about unblockable then they should remove it and reverse the change. I wish they would think more before doing things like this or at least ask for potential consequences before making changes. At the very least run the thing through unranked.

The one thing i hate most is being slow especially since i played an evade S/d-d/p thief before they nerfed feline grace, i left necro for that reason as well.

Waiting for energy to get to the thief or mesmer so i can pressure and escape an enemy pin while my block is on cooldown is one of the most irritating things i have experienced so far.

The bs here summaries my opinion on Revenant’s support related kit (ventari, glint & half of malyx) – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Some-random-rant-Feel-free-to-ignore/first#post6216859

If I were to parody Revenant and Guardian kits right now….Anet will rename Guardian Revenant and then rename Revenant to Guardian.

I was wondering about the build options whenever they decide to release the patch It really shouldn’t take this long)

If we are going to move away from shiro glint being the only real option in PvP, my suggestions for Jalis especially should be seriously considered.

A legend that specializes in keeping enemies in close range with the knock down and pull will also make hammer a much better weapon for PvP without having to directly buff it.

Hammer has always been too slow to be considered a serious option for PvP. By simultaneously making all the changes to glint and jalis listed in the first post, its speed wouldnt be too much of a problem (assuming that the utility costs make sense)

Melee only weapons also wouldn’t put you at a disadvantage to mobile classes or give an advantage, because they are mobile classes. This is about playstyle not strengths and weaknesses. You should be able to take whatever you want and still be effective at what you are playing.

Mallyx would be a bit better because its main condi weapon is melee and often requires you fight in close range without taking too much damage.

Ventari would also benefit and maybe even be an option because not as much time and energy would be wasted trying heal, prevent your heal from being negated plus keeping your target at effective range.

This is pretty much a shot in the dark, i dont expect any of these changes to be even looked at let alone taken seriously since im starting to think build diversity isnt even their intention.

I like some of those suggestions but the Ventari is a mortal sin one in my books…

I understand most people do not care about GW1 because they didn’t play it but ya…

True he was a Warrior in his youth; however, he is well known and respected for setting up a sanctuary of peace for all races. Giving a Long Bow would be a little insulting to that idea….

If Revenant’s were to acquire Long Bow, It would most likely be done as a new Legend, preferably one that is known to use a Long Bow. With all of the GW2 exclusive kids screaming for no connections to GW1 i’d imagine they would probably go with Eir since she's dead
