How is Power Revenant for non-raid content?
Glass hammer is pretty nice for the ranged dps cleave. Although I use ahiro/glint instead of Jalis to avoid being hit.
I think it’s fine for PvE content. I absolutely adore my Rev and run it in dungeons and fractals frequently. It’s not raid content, so Rev does have a place (especially in pug groups). Although, it can be a bit useless if you have other classes pounding out the same boons (but you can still grant boon duration). If you’re running in a “meta” group, I’d swap out as you’ll have other players already doing your roll and with low dps, you’re really not worth it to take (unless you swap to condi). It’s a great class, and it’s a lot of fun to play, but you’re never going to get past people who say it’s worthless. Make your own groups and pug essentially if you want to play it. People who believe “meta is the only way” are really annoying anyway.
One of the more fun classes that I’ve tried and played. It’s got great self sustain and that crazy breakbar damage makes soloing most champions a breeze. Even without using Jalis hammers, shiro+ glint is an easy thing to breeze through most content.
I’ve done multiple instances of 100 CM. Revenant was definitely one of the easier classes to play (not in a speedrun). Not as effective as other classes imo but you guarantee that boss’s CC bar gets broken and maintain good boon uptime for everyone else.
Infused light is OP in T4.
Its pretty solid. Even without Jalis, Shiro and Glint will cover you when it comes to quickly downing enemies and supporting nearby allies. Its a great source for Fury and Protection in pugs, and the extra boon duration and CC from Staff 5 and your elites (if needed) will always be welcomed.
It is an absolute fun class.
I just swap to mine from my guardian cause of boring playstyle of guard(matter of taste).
I m not caring for anyone that might tell me is not good, as long as i’m having fun with him.
Maybe i’ll turn the one one of 2 berserkers armor to vipers in mf to cover everything and that’s it….
Despite all the flaws and the amount of QoL the rev needs, I like mine more then any other class. I used to main my guard but it’s too slow compared to rev for simple PvE. The permanent fury + swiftness in glint makes getting around easier and popping the heal so you don’t get in combat even while getting hit is great.
For fractals I still play my second favorite, my necro. But that’s mainly because of the complete melee hate all those t4 fractals have.
I’d raid with my rev if I people would give me the chance, as I’m almost always top DPS on rev. But gotta have underperforming meta classes instead? right?

People will always prefer a Condi meta in dungeons/fracs and raids.. its what GW2 has become and it hurts many people who want and need to do that content for achievements and items. I main Rev and dont have much for ascended gears and raiders demanded I have full set ascended Best in slots.. and certain sockets.. I just cant even..
Went off to do gathering and run around the world instead of dealing with meta hungry children. Either Anet needs to fix this type of behavior or the community needs to find something else to follow a meta on because locking people out of content due to what they play and how they build. It’s not right.

But what can they do? The meta has really corrupting gaming, especially mmorpgs. I am not even sure how it started, you would never run into the meta building in older mmorpgs, not to the point where people cannot play interesting builds because of /kick.
