Inspiring Reinforcement: Decreased the stability per pulse from 6 seconds to 1 second. Increased the recharge from 5 seconds to 10 seconds and its energy cost from 25 to 30.

why? :/

Yeah, I can’t say I didn’t see this coming. It was annoying in WvW, super spammable, and incredibly powerful. Add on the traits and abilities of Glint? No way that was staying…

Now, personally, I’d have gone from 6→2 seconds, but regardless. Still probably very necessary…

I think this skill underpowered already
Most case in wvw, just got 1~2 stacks only
cuz skill animation slower than movement speed
as we know, movement is very important in wvw

Well, the point is kind of to create an area where you won’t be CC’ed, not necessarily use it completely pre-emptively like a guardian shout. I still think 1 second is a bit short to make it particularly useful in WvW, but we’ll see.

Road still has decent synergy with enhanced bulwalk. For every pulse you will get additional 6sec stab. That may be a reason why they nerfed it in the first place..Gotta see how it play out.

Even if it did deserve a nerf, this was absurdly overdone. 83% less stability duration, 100% longer cooldown, and a more sane 20% energy cost increase.

… I still want tengu.

RIP Jalis (until more balance changes)? Inspiring Reinforcement used to be the only good skill in this legend, now we are getting some buffs elsewhere which is nice (Forced Engagement is still trash due to energy cost) but with this change revenant really lacks stability now and especially party-wide stability. Inspiring Reinforcement was already difficult to use effectively because of how slow it was and how long it took to get the first stability stack, people just run away from it before it starts pulsing. Now it’s still slow but also does nothing the moment you step outside of it, so I can’t cast it on a CC effect in order to go through it (have to wait 1-2 sec for stability to start pulsing, might just as well not go there at all) and I can’t use it before engagement to prepare. Well, we see changes every time there is a beta so I have hope but right now this skill is pretty bad (Forced Engagement is still worse, making Jalis an awful legend overall)

Forced Engagement is the only thing that prevents me from using Jalis. It’s a very cool but wasted skill. Cost is too much if you compare it to Jade Winds.

It has it uses to prevent someone from running away for example. But overall i agree without the buffs i proposed it should get reduced energy by 15 – down to 35. With buffed rite and hammers for 70% dmg reduction (different -damage sources stack i believe, i take lower damage from ram buff with protection in wvw) the choice is obvious for me..

Checked defiant stance ingame. It convers all condi damage into healing. Glint heal should somehow help revenant then from total melding by burns/confusion. It may not work well in 1v1 situations vs power builds tho and that is what i worry about. In pve i dont see it being strong either.. Too situational.
