Just bc you dont want it doesnt mean other do not. What else will work as 2h melee aoe power dps wep then if gs is a big nope?

We do not need to be another Warrior.

We should use something different.

Currently Revenant lacks range main-hand option and non E-spec offhand weapon.
I’d say Anet should add at least one more off-hand that’s not bound to E-spec, and one range one-hand E-spec.

The thing that is obviously missing is a ranged condition weapon. While they have done some unusual weapon types, I kind of doubt they would make another ranged greatsword.

In real world a shield would prevent bullets from piercing a shield or is it only magical bullets? :-P

I don’t think pistol fit well with Revenants background story as a warrior returning from the Mist to wield weapon empowered with Energy from the Mist.

To counter condition we would need weapon which could both give condition or even return condition being given to us (like Sigil of Generocity). Torch work in that way (only condi cleanse with trait) for Mesmer, but I am not sure if it would be any good for a Revenant to have the same kind of weapon. Maybe a weapon which today only work as off hand could also become one hand? Axe already work as a condi weapon, so why not make it also a main hand or make it possible to use mace in off hand?

Is there any reason why spear are being used for only under water fights for most professions? I thought spear is something that have been used for most part on land in real world battle.

hahah indeed, the first thing I thought of when I saw LA in this game and players running around – “That must be some mainstream shiny cheap sword”. Was right except for it’s not cheap

Yo, I want a GS for Revenant too! Though I would love to see it as a condi or hybrid weapon. We’d be the only class in the game with condi viable GS

Or spear as a ground weapon! 1h with shield or 2h. 900 range, throwing spears, bleeds etc.. <3
