Greatswords have the best skins usualy.

and devs said revenant is more of a brawler so yeah mostly gonna get melee weapons

I’d only want a GS if it had a unique twist. Like it was a 1200 range condi weapon that attacked very fast or something.

If it was the standard melee power type it’d have to be really well designed, like something between daredevil staff and reaper GS maybe (fast, twirly, martial feel.) Something that’d feel more like a katana than the normal giant unwieldy swords we normally get.

I want PBAoE direct-damage greatsword like warriors and guardians. Not the most original idea, but just like all charming clichés in the world, there’s a reason for why people love that.

What if GS became our ranged condition option? Now wouldnt that be interesting?

I got two ideas for future rev elites (though I don’t have a name for them)

Elite #1 gains a longbow and can channel Pyre Fierceshot (Legendary Outcast Stance), and it comes with preparation skills that add effects/conditions to attacks (similar to Thief’s venoms)

Elite #2 gains a focus and can channel Snaff/Oola* (Legendary Golemancer Stance), and it comes physical skills which are done through a golem hologram that hovers over you while in this stance.

*either one works

Greatsword is the be all to end all and Its rather refreshing to not be forced to use it on Revenant as well.

kitten skippy. Greatswords are all well and good, but it’s terrible design feeling forced to use them.

Agreed, it feels like a bladed handcuff. They have so many more options.

Main hand axe, off hand dagger. Scepter, etc, etc…..

well Greatswords usualy have the best animations and best skins and looks the most kitten of corse everyone and their grandmother wants them.

The only reason I would want to see Revenant get a greatsword is if Kalla Scorchrazor was the Legend. I need a Charr legend in my life.

Otherwise, I don’t want to see Rev get a greatsword. They’re overused. Things like Shortbows and Torches need bringing into the light of day.
