They are claiming pvp, raiding, dungeons and etc.

PvP? No.

Raiding? No.

Dungeons? Does it really matter?

Well for raids they claim they are no more then buff bots now.

What do you think Revenants are? The exact same.

The only place guardian feels underwhelming is in PvP. Even there, you can wreck newish players with traps and longbow.

In Raids, it is pretty good in both damage and support. In pug dungeons/fractals, it makes runs much easier and smoother.

In WvW, it is probably the best profession, capable of playing both frontline and backline.

Guardian is outdated, go rev.

Guardian is less annoying than Rev,don’t go Rev if you hate not being able to chose your utilities and having very little choices in terms of weapons.

Guardian forums are just extra salty right now. I call it home despite also frequenting the rest of the profession forums. It ridiculous. Like, I already have the Great Salt Lake in my back yard. I don’t need another one. And then on top of that, you have people who like to follow others around and kitten on opinions wherever they can. Like, nobody touched your cheerios, go home.

Bottom line is, everyone was somewhat unhappy with the patch despite every professions getting a lot of good stuff. The initial whining period has passed, and now the real work has started in figuring out what the new meta might look like. Every profession is competitive, and every profession is useful. I myself have 18 characters, 2 of each. I wouldn’t have that many if I didn’t like playing all of them. The real question you need to ask yourself is, “Do I like playing this class?” If you do, then great. Keep playing it. If you’re trying to figure out if you should play a class, the answer is always yes. You should always have at least one of everything if you can afford it. If its a question of which you should try first, then just mess around with each until you know which one clicks with you more.

Just, be wary of other people’s opinions. They often come with a lot of baggage that you just don’t need.

Guardian is more fun, Rev skills hardly work.
