I expected it to suck but the 50% damage reduction for 5 seconds is nice, I can actually see jalis being a viable alternative legend to run.

Building for a tankier style, I was going to be using Jalis alongside Glint, but I had concerns with some of the skills from playing around with a build calculator. But after rolling it up and putzing about, really do like the feel of Jalis. For Deldrimor!

Lol I was actually having a really hard time in ac earlier cuz we went with a team of level 50s, but as soon as I switched to jails over shiro it made it a lot easier. The stability they give with that road thing and combination with their elite which you can use pretty often to reduce incoming damage for you and your team by 50% is really good.

Jalis is a situational legend, probably not one you would run all the time, except in WvW or a bunker-type pvp build. Other legends are well suited to camping. Depending on the two you pick, you may pop back and forth regularly (especially if channeling Shiro) or stay mostly in one.

Many Revenant abilities are similarly situational and aren’t necessarily best used on cooldown.

I find that I rarely use shiro abilities except for the quickness one on occasion for a quick finishing burst. I’m obviously still learning the class but I haven’t found much use out of the others yet unless i need to remove cripple or something though.

And that’s how most people are going to wind up using Shiro in PvE, primarily for the heal and quickness (which is why anyone using Shiro will probably be legend swapping on cooldown). The exception is PvP and maybe solo-roaming WvW where the movement skills will be important.

Jalis might work in pve but in pvp hes pathetic (in nice words)

In PvE, Jalis is great. In fact, I prefer it to Shiro in PvE. In PvP it’s usable but Shiro and even Mallyx are a lot better.

Is anyone having a go with Ventari?

I found Vengeful Hammers extremaly efficient at tagging all stuff in Labirynth. Almost as efficient as Gaurd’s Staff #1.

In the new maps I haven’t taken Jalis off the bar, coupled with Ventari for tight spots.

In vanilla I swap Ventari with Shiro.

But yes, Jalis for the win.
