LF Revenant Build for Maguuma Jungle Maps
Swap out the sword/axe for hammer when needed. That should get you through most HoT content both solo and in groups.

It’s just some small tweaks. I’ve found that it is perfectly possible without dying much (if ever) to play in the new maps on berserker gear as a revenant. When you’re completely new I would advice putting on some tankier gear (like knight, soldier, marauder, whatever you have access to and isn’t too expensive as you’ll swap back to berserker lateron) so you can learn how the new enemies work.
You can also swap out some traits for more sustain or condition removal if you feel the need for it (like Soothing Bastion).
The rune of rage is a cheaper option than rune of strength, but use rune of strength when you do have the option to do so. Stay away from Rune of the Scholar in the new maps as you likely won’t be above 90% hp in the fights most of the times.
I also found the Sigil of Strength together with Unreleting Assault (and possibly Facet of Nature active) an easy way to get 25 might stacks going while in combat and even last long enough to be able to switch to the shiro legend and use quickness till your energy has run out.
This build is what I’m currently running (although mostly in exotics) and it works really well. However this is my experience.
Yea, for a starting build showing all ascended just stings…lol. But perhaps it can give something to aspire towards?
But Captain, both of the replies are great and I agree with Shadu in that don’t go full zerk until you know some of the mobs and your abilities. Lots of dodging to be done in HoT, thats for sure!

Is there any reason that you chose Sword/Shield over Sword/Axe? I’ve always assumed that axe was better. (Also it doesn’t cover up my wings, but that isn’t too important.)

Sword/Shield gives better sustain, which I feel works better in the new maps and if I want to get to the next enemy faster I’ll just use the Shiro teleport instead of the Axe.
The Axe also gives no defensive options (atleast, I can’t count the vacuum on Axe #5 defensive).
But then again I love the shield on the revenant and don’t consider it weak at all (the trait fix would be awesome though). It often allows me to stay up close to my targets more often than sword or axe would allow me to and thus I get more dps in.
Having more dps on your other skills isn’t always the best option if you loose more dps by having to move. It comes down to your preference though, but yeah I would highly advice investing quite some time into the Revenant shield as I love it.
