Last Story Help
If I could range
Hmmmm… Hammer?
the ground collapsed and there weren’t any up-drafts visible – a known bug since Launch i know.
Go to your allies, they’ll create a ground bubble shield and there will be an updraft at that shield.
Thanks to the horrific bugginess of the last fight, I’ve only manged to complete HoT on two classes.; Ranger and Revenant, specifically Herald. First tip is always run in the updrafts, never jump. That only helps if the other bugs don’t get you, but it does make a difference to people who don’t know about it.
The reason these two classes have got me through Hot is basically the same. Each has skills which grant limited invulnerability. When the bugs inevitably strike and you crash down to the ground for no reason immediately upon launch, or simply don’t launch, you pop these skills to grant vital seconds to try launch again.
In case of ranger you pop Signet of Stone’s active. For Herald you pop Glint’s Infuse Light.
As for the pre-mordrem fights, I don’t know what to suggest. They can be a pain but you shouldn’t have too much difficulty. It’s mostly about not rushing, these fights are long and tedious. I used hammer most of the time to take down garm while dodging arrows. Facet of elements to keep perma-swiftness up. Switching to sword > Shiro> Enchanted daggers > Impossible Odds in Eir’s face when Garm goes down and she runs in. This should heal you back to full health if you make sure to flank her, and you’ll deal massive damage. If you don’t have herald yet, you’re pretty much stuffed though.
To avoid more attacks and top up health you can use sword#3 and hammer#3. Hammer #4 will help you block some of Eir’s attack while you life steal Garm through the field.
General build; berserker, maybe some soldier trinkets thrown in. Invocation will help with condition cleanse, devestation for life steal. Herald, of course. That’s the build that got me through and I’m not a great player by a long shot. Sword/x though I prefer axe oh to dodge mordy’s aoe cones. Hammer to control engangement distance and make the fight survivable, even if it’s longer.
edit: hammer can also be good against eir/garm if you can’t get close to eir quickly to attack and she’s behind garm, just hit hammer#2 while you close in for increased damage as the attack blasts through Garm, thus increasing it power when it hit’s Eir.

Thanks for trying to help all. It doesn’t look like I have enough in Herald to get the job done, and I’ve had enough after trying this story for days and days. I’m ok with getting waxed in PVP – it is against other humans and I can accept that. I can’t accept the story BS. I’m done with this game and off to the next adventure. Take care all.
Garm was harder to kill for me then the last boss/dragon. I couldn’t melee it and cannot ranged it, it was faster then me and cannot use my skills backawards. Trough I finished the story with my guard I don’t think I’ll do it with my rev. The draft it’s still buggy I had to restart the mission 2 times because the glider didn’t worked.
Sorry this made you quit GW2, the content should be challenging, but not with bugs.

I died a lot to Garm but I managed to find a way to make it much easier. Try to lure him to the edge of the map and there’s a little tiny pit you can pull him into so her arrows can’t get you. It makes the fight so much easier.
