Currently at level 20 at the moment and its my last class to get to 80.

So far i’m kind of unimpressed. The weapons feel clunky and I feel rather slow. Do traits and better stats as I level make a difference?

what i did to level my rev was i got it about lv30 started just running ds in omega suit lol atlest got lv80 mats out of it

U got to wait till u get herald, herald is what makes rev shine. Without herald, rev is pretty lame.

Leveling in this game is hideously boring, it’s not just rev that feels bland at lv20.

Every class sucks at lv20 because you have nowhere close to an actual build with synergies.

Yes because Rev without Herald traitline is boring as &*^%

it because anet lock out basically everything made leveling fun. stat use to come from traits means you did not need to upgrade your gear every 5 minutes and you where not lock out on skill from lv1 to 80. you could freely pick what you wanted to learn.

i am not saying new system is bad but it took me awile to notice this in leveling that made it feel so terrible all thinking in leveling up was basically removed.

Leveling Revenant is no different than any other plate class. The whole “Revenant without Herald stuff” is mostly bs…people just use it to abuse getting loads of boons out of combat (mainly Swiftness for travel speed and Might for dps).

Shiro and Jallis are more than enough to facilitate fast travel and a decent leveling experience. Malyx and Shiro are the default for fighting underwater and leveling as a condi dps user. Its prety cool, I use mace with axe and hammer for the 50-60 part and is quite relaible. Staff with double swords is pretty good for fights where you need to be able to switch from burst dps to sustain dps. The combinations I haven’t tried yet for leveling are mace+sword and sword+axe.

Revenant is severly lacking in under water combat right now, the spear is an awkward hibrid between ranged condi dps and melee power dps, it’s best you avoid fighting underwater as much as possible as a revenant.

How can it possibly be boring? Glint is virtually the most passive legend Rev has?

If fun to you means passively gaining boons, I don’t know what to tell you.

Pre-revenant, I played 2000 hours exclusively on ele (gives you an idea how much I liked the class). Post revenant, I haven’t touched ele. Rev is just that good.

Lol like the other REV trait lines and in fact every other class out there doesn’t have passive skills/procs everywhere.

Anyway like i said everyone is different and entitled to their opinions.
