Timelord to Lillium Honeybuns, IoJ
Forever together, or not at all.
By now a lot of you guys are very proficient with the Revenant, personally i am not. I play a necromancer, don’t foresee changing any time soon, so im appealing to you guys about enlightening me.
My question is, how can a Revenant keep pulsing every condition in the game on me even when i transfer and cleanse them all?
The only thing i can see that would do anything like that would be the grand master trait in corruption called “Pulsating Pestilence” but that even furthers my confusion ( indirect pun is indirect). The trait copies conditions onto enemy targets around them for 3 seconds on a 15 second cool down.
That being said, how can a trait with a 15 second cool down pulse conditions on me every 3 seconds? Is the trait bugged and instead pulses conditions on enemies around them every 3 second for 15 seconds? Even when the Revenant didn’t have conditions on them and i cleansed all the conditions from myself, it was still putting every condition in the game, except fear, on me.
Am i missing something? I can only think that this is a bug, if not, im very saddened that this could be considered balanced. I don’t want to come here and sound like im screaming for nerfs or screaming that is OP, im just curious about how a Revenant could do something like that.
I’m not familiar with playing Mallyx that much but that sounds like Mallyx Elite.
Mallyx elite copies conditions every second (one stack of one condi at a time), combined with the traits that gives resistance, and copies another condi i’m sure it’s this
After further looking into it, Embrace the Darkness seems to be the skill that caused it.
Didnt refresh the post guys but thank you for the response. The revenent i was fighting keep the elite up for 10+ seconds, is this normal? Should the elite have a cool down? From what i can see from g2skill editor is that it doesn’t.
As a class that could claim Condi King in another life, i am very jealous of something as powerful as that.

It doesn’t have a cooldown but it does cost a lot of energy. Don’t worry. It’s not really feasible to keep it on for too long. He’s also only applying all those different conditions because you presumably applied them to him. That skill would be a lot less powerful if you applied fewer conditions.

So don’t apply any conditions at all, just run the other way until it wears off then reapply conditions when it’s on cooldo……right. Better just run away as a conditon spec then.
Well atleast im not complaining about Unrelenting assault, If anything " Embrace The darkness" is what people should be worried about but thats just me.
Embrace the Darkness will turn the Revenant purple with this pulsing animation. It’s very obvious when it is being used. Just so you know how to keep an eye out for it. It may not have a cool down, but it’s not something that can be spammed due to its high upkeep cost.

ED is an upkeep skill, it means it drains Revenant energy as long as it is active.
Revenant natural regen is +5 pips, ED is -10, it means ED will drain Rev energy pretty quickly (1pip = 1energy/second) means at 100% energy, he can keep it 10s.
But remember that it means he can’t use anything else than AA, all other skills will cost him energy and make ED end earlier.

It is not very noticeable when used on an asuran, especially when i have a scythe as long as two norn stacked on top of each other.
New classes always get all the cool bells and whistles, shame necromancer has been gutted on their condition application. Necromancers are strong at sending conditions back, and transferring boons into them. Automatic Plague Signet sadness.
