I’ve noticed that most Revenants use sword/X a lot, Yet I haven’t seen any of them use mace/X. Why?

Base damage on mace is fairly low and sword 3 skill is just too good to pass.
I do use mace/axe on condi build and sword/shield on 2nd set.

I disagree with you good sir, condi can be fun on Revenant, while Rev’s weakness is and always will be condition burst – unless they will fix Mallyx out of it’s nerfed state (90% of builds run Mallyx only for his ult.. in power builds.. for the 10% stat incerase) – which means every Reaper worth his robes will obliterate either power or condition revenant – running Mace+Axe on my revenant is very satysfying to see people trying to run around with 15 stacks of torment, revenant’s auto-boon strip each 25 seconds is nice as well – i have been having a lot of fun on my condition revenant

I’ve never once lost to a reaper. Long range them with hammer and they can’t even touch you. also 90% of power builds do not run mallyx at all. They run shiro/glint. Condi on rev is pretty bad you have some torment sure, but this will never be meta.

Condi rev with Mace is a lot of fun (speaking about PvE). It may not be as fully effective from a numbers perspective as a power build or the sword, but I still find it fun. They just need to fix Mallyx and/or Corruption and I think condi rev will be back where it needs to be.

Depending on how you spec if you have torment you can have poison and chill also.

I’ve tried it for the fun of it and honestly, mace as a main weapon, just isn’t great, the AA is just terrible, don’t get me wrong, its meant for condi, but even then, torment isn’t that great to begin with, I’m better off using sigil of earth on it.
Only thing I’ve found extremely useful on mace is for simply stacking might, nothing else, to top it off, you can do it to hurt the enemy while stacking might, just make sure the 3rd skill lands on FF.

Yup, so much this.

I love the condi Rev talents, and I love the mace, but the lack of a second weapon option (especially the lack of a RANGED option) just makes it DOA, imo.

Like was suggested in another thread here, I’d love to see the Hammer AA get some Torment application as well, to make it a more viable option for both Condi and Power builds.
