After a long time playing renegade on the test weekend and wanting so much to fall in love with it I found it at most… bland. So 3 hours on a train journey got me thinking of a cool thing renegades could do which would fit well with the flavour of the specialisation and of Kalla
A general agreement across the forums seems to be that high energy costs, static utilities and low durations on shortbow conditions mean that the class doesn’t seem to flow well. But I think that many of these could be fixed with a balance patch. Even so this has still left me wanting more.
My idea would be to change one of the F(1,2 or 3) abilities to momentarily equip you will Kallad great sword – this is afterall what she is wielding at her statue in the Black Citadel. The ability would then charge you at your foe striking your target dealing a relatively high blow that feels rewarding to execute.
What happens next is the fun part – all of your Kalla utilities that you currently have out will charge with you each one adding additional effects to the charge.
Skill 6: A burst aoe heal and condi cleanse
Skill 7: Apply a stack of bleeds
Skill 8: Apply vuln and chill (I think we all want some chill from ICErazor)
Skill 9: Apply a Stun
Elite: Leech Life equal to the amount you hit for
For this to work I would also suggest adding some mobility to the shortbow to them allow you to quickly move out of melee again.
This was just a thought and I would love to know the opinion of other people who play revenant. Does it sound like a fun concept? Does it fit will Kalla? Does it fit with the revenant theme?
