Hey there, Roy ( or anyone else), can you please tell me where and how does one get the Mistward Armor? I.e. Is it gonna be gem store or in game acquisition: gold, karma, pvp tracks? If you can’t say it yet, give me a hint. Just love the set, can’t imagine playing rev without it, and in general can’t wait to main a Revenant, love what you did with it

I will judge any revenant who doesn’t use this armor. Specially charrs. Too sexy on charr.
In fact I’m thinking of using it on guardian too. For some reason the armor and blindfold seems to match my idea of dragonhunters lol

Too sexy in general, easily favourite heavy set. Mistward Dragonhunter sounds fairly cool, just in blue shades opposed to Revenants red, but that’s just imo ^^

Any chance at all for a little more information? Or can we at least have an estimate of the difficulty of getting the entire set?

It’s probably going to be like silverwaster’s carapace armor acquisition. They’re probably going for something similar with the new maps.

In a way this is good news, if that means we get something equally neat for other armor types.

That’s something I would have a big problem with. The RNG behind the carapace stuff and getting the right organs as well as boxes with non-luminecent armor really wasn’t fun to deal with. I’m all for hard and prestigious rewards but I want to earn them, not depend on RNG.

Really? My problem was doing the stupid facepalm achieves for lumi armor. The grind was fine. (to me)

The grind isn’t the problem, I completed my entire set the day after the Vinewrath boss was released. It’s the same argument of why I dislike the current legendary system they are (thankfully) changing. It’s all based on luck and half the time it doesn’t feel like you get rewarded. The coat boxes were the absolute worst thing because of the time commitment while having a small chance of actually getting what you needed. I would have much rather had a ‘’kill the Vinewrath 5 times’’ repeatable collection achievement for the boxes.

I want to earn my stuff, not get lucky or get them handed to me.

The RNG annoyance I can agree with. I can’t tell you how many Hylek communities have a Wanted poster against me around their homes for the massacre I laid upon them.

Thanks for answering ^^ love the fact that you read our stuff. I’m sure it’s gonna be cool to acquire, but +1 for non rng collection, luck is almost never kind to some of us

IDK why people are complaining about the lume armor thing, thanks to the bandit crests even if you were unlucky and didnt get a carapace drop you at least had solid progress towards one from the crest vendor. You also had the option not to rely on rng for the monster bits you need just by paying slightly more

ho come on! wasnt it obvious, each elite spec got a new armor and weapon and rytlock has this armor and we had this armor on beta, it lost all its wowness cuz we’ve seen this armor for 8 months now

Depends on the race. If you do the right thing and make a revenant Charr, they have some cool racial armors in there :p

Going Sylvari female or Human female. I have never been able to get in a Charr. I tried at release but it just wasn’t working lol.

I really hope it’s a collection that can be completed just by committing time, and not hoping for random 0.0001% drops from an event that spawns once a day or something. Rewards should be challenging but able to be completed by anyone who’s willing to put in the effort, not make them get so frustrated that they’d just want to stop playing forever or something. People can complain about casuals all they want, but making stuff inaccessible because someone doesn’t play 24/7 is not a good thing.

The Mistward Armor is the set I want for my Rev, and I’ll be really upset if it’s content I can’t do.

Getting the carapace & bioluminessence set was the most fun I had in GW2 for a long time… It actually felt like an achievment to get, nothing ridiculous grindy like a legendary but also not doable in a day.

Arg. That’s going to mess up my prep plans. I was planning on using two pieces for my armor. I hope the collection won’t take too long to complete.

Out of curiosity i wonder if mistward armor will be fixed for release. In beta many weapons had clipping issues as the armor is not adjusted to them.
