RE:Before anything, please keep in mind that I plan on keeping this build updated here and will be changing it from time to time, so keep an eye on it if you’re interested!
Last update:12/3/2015
Added: PvP Build, 1v1 vids of the build w/different weapons, minor changes to pure offense build.

This is my latest build and working like a charm right now.

PvE, WvW, and sPvP.
Keep in mind the damage I mention here is strictly to this build, not in general for the revenant.
WvW:
Only down fall is not having many methods to survive heavy condi bursts, your best thing to do is to simply kite and when ever pressured, simply go to shiro legend and kite them and begin using Hammer 1# and 2#

How good is the build? Fairly well, had my moments where you simply stomp them and other moments where they can stomp you.
Please keep in mind that this is a pure offense build, put heavy pressure before they do it to you.

Sword:
Auto Attack - Highly have to say to use it constantly as it not only saves you energy but does high dmg, lowest I’ve ever seen was 1,7k and only once, rest are usually 2k-6k, all depends on your might and vulen stack.
Precision Strike - HIGHLY recommend using this ONLY for catching up to players when Phase Traversal isn’t needed, not to mention you can crit for 2k-3k easily with it.
Unrelenting Assault - Not the best skill for source of DPS but it does really help provide more might for you, thanks to that skill+sigil of strength, I’m easily stacking for 20+(thanks to all this, you easily hitting 3,279 power, highest it can go is 3,429 power) NOT including bloodlust sigil

Shield:
Envoy of Exuberance - Simply use it when ever you need a heal, and please use it on top of you, not some where else, otherwise you’ll get Protection only.
Crystal Hibernation - One of the best skills to avoid a condi bomb, just involves predicting it, or being quick enough to use it before they throw them at you.(do keep in mind of the unblockable ones).

Axe:
Frigid Blitz - I’d say its one of the best gap closer aside from Shiro’s Phase traversel, but also saves you energy compared to that utility skill, and does easily 6k dmg!
Temporal Rift - Only meant for interrupting/CCing him down and follow it up with some thing else immediately to secure that hit.

Hammer:
Hammer Bolt - A decent auto attack that deals from 1,7k-8k
Coalescene of Ruin - One of the BEST skills for DPS on hammer, not only does it provide good dmg, but a low CD as well, not to mention most never avoid it, so that’s a plus!(you’re better off using this and not the AA) on average it does 5k-17k.
Phase Smash - One of my favorite skills, when entering hibernation from shield, immediately swap to hammer and use this, nuking him for 1k-2k from sigil+XX if you hit him with this one(usually around 2k-3,5k)Only do this when he’s near you waiting for the hibernation to end.
Field of the mists - Pretty straight forward skill, so no need to explain this really.
Drop the Hammer - Only use this on some one that’s down and when his ally is trying to ress him, or see if you can force a dodge roll out of them, other than that, don’t bother using it.

Shiro:
Enchanted Daggers - Best healing skill that can be used offensively, highly recommend using this when missing some HP, to do a bit more dps, or when you plan on using UA(sword 3#) If possible, always use this as an opener or force some dodge rolls before doing it to secure some more hits on them.
Phase Traversel - Not only is it an insanely good gap closer, but also for running away, always keep an eye on ambients/mobs, anything to use it on when being heavily pressure to reset fight or wait for those important skills to go off CD.(keep in mind it wont save you every time).
Riposting Shadows - Not only is it an amazing break stun, but removes condis such as immob, cripple, chill, and on top of that, it gives you 50 endurance back to you(perfect for those sticky situations)
Impossible Odds - Got some energy to burn? Use this with Sword AA and you’ll be bringing his HP down in no time, no really. Now keep in mind you can combine this with Drop the Hammer, making it quicker and have a higher chance of knocking that player down for 2sec, or simply doing a quicker stomp.
Jade winds - Has to be one of the best CCs in this game in my opinion, always recommend using it when fighting 2+, swap legends(if you have no energy left) and burst out the squishy target immediately.

Glint/Herald:
Face of Light - Only recommend using it when you get bombed from condis to have a slight chance of surviving or when predicting a heavy burst incoming that you wont be able to avoid, the way I love to use this build is to use it when the enemy is gonna burst you down, having no worries of losing hp, but healing instead while going ALL out on that player when he’s not playing defensively.
Face of Darkness - Great break stun and a blind, on top of that a reveal, what’s not to love? Just do keep in mind the radius for it is a little small, so do try getting into a good spot before using it if you plan revealing some one.
Face of Elements - ALWAYS keep this one on CD as it does easily 1,7k-4k per pulse, a really great skill to use for that extra dps
Facet of Strength - Always keep this one on much as you can to stack might and keeps it high amount of might(easily provides 10 for a good duration), if you’re running low on energy, simply use it, 15sec cd, its really no big deal if you have it off for that duration, but once its up, activate it and repeat if you’re in this legend.
Facet of Chaos - Only use this if you plan on interrupting an enemy when he’s reviving a down ally(saves you energy from hammer or from swap if you don’t really need it).
Facet of Nature - I can’t stress this enough, I see so many revenants that rarely use this, ALWAYS use this before entering combat, its an insane facet that grants a very good amount of boons(mainly want it for the protection it provides its 6sec!)

ALWAYS keep face of strength, darkness and elements on before fighting to keep those boons for a good duration, before entering a fight, those seconds you get out of them really help!

(UPDATED!!)
Pure offense build
[CHANGES] Some small trait changes, removed calvalier for berserker ring, swapped Shield to Axe, sigil of air was replaced by sigil of force, swapped Truffle Ravioli for Omnomberry Pie as it works perfectly with the traits for more healing to keep you in the battle longer with out losing any dps

For those that don’t like to much offense

PvE Build
Also keep in mind that you can swap shiro to Ventari for those pesky bosses/dungeons
when needing reflect, making your run a whole lot smoother.
Hope you enjoy.

PvP Build
A build meant for bursting down enemies quick while having a good amount of sustain, giving hp steals from rune, sigil, along with 2 traits.
In Devastation trait line, you can swap Vicious Lacerations for Malicious Reprisal(used this trait for a while and has proven to be extremely useful for bringing down enemies when using shelter/blocks, crystal hibernation.)

WvW 1v1s, 1vX will be added later on as well.
Demonstration videos on the potential of the build its self with different weapons and sigils.
For the sustain to keep your self in the fight and keep adding pressure to enemies
Sword/shield + Staff
s/sh> Sigil of Strength, Sigil of air, Stafkittenigil of Energy, Sigil of Hydromancy.
More offense style, for those who like to go crazy on dps
Sword/Axe + Hammer
Sword/Axe>Sigil of strength, Sigil of Force, Hammer>Sigil of Fire, Sigil of force.

I liked the idea of your build, criting constantly and all, though I’ve always liked having 2,6k-2,8k armor on heavy professions(not including guard).
Also, since I’ve always planned on going mostly on the offense, this one I made works just perfectly, of course you change traits to your own personal liking, but for me, this just works fine, highest crit I’ve done in wvw so far is 7,9k AA, not including food/utlity, this was just with 25 might stacks alone, and stacking might isn’t hard at all, takes little to no effort.

Thanks for the builds but i wish people wouldn’t use ascended gear when posting builds. It skews the stats. Most people are not going to have all the ascended pieces you are using but could probably get hold of exotic pieces quite easily. To save them the hassle of switching out all the gear in your link to exotic to see what the stats would look like its best to do it from the start.

Just my 2cents

Thanks anyway for the builds.

Its understandable, but I kept it at ascended mainly because I didn’t plan to share this build one bit, but ended up doing it in the end.

I agree, the +40 toughness easily gives the toughness you need, heck, some facets provide 80 alone. But I still prefer having it as base toughness, so it makes it even easier, overall though, this build is pretty darn perfect with some minor changes, with the current one I got being tested its just hitting like a train, 4k-17k(highest dps I’ve seen from it) Best part is, I’m not even using Swift Termination yet.

thanks for the info guys, Im using OP’s PvE build and Taldren’s WvW, and keeping armor as Marauder only. So far pretty good in both game mode.

If anyone using these builds in raids, do you mind providing some feedback?

Thanks.

I’ve used my current one being the WvW pure offense with some small changes.
sword-sigil of strength
shield-sigil of air
hammer- sigil of fire+ sigil force
instead of Invocation, I run retribution like the 2nd build in there for some defense, along in devastation going assassin’s annihilation for sustain to keep that hp up.

So far it works perfectly, doing from 7k to 20k with hammer(not AA but his 2# skill)
the hammer and sword’s AA does nice enough dps, Its best to stick with hammer since you want to get on the circle to avoid those wipes and free up some one to go melee, so you don’t lose any dps, just use sword/shield on his splitting phase or for healing, also don’t be afraid of using facet of chaos to knock back those red orbs doing dps on those in the circle, or keep that facet active to provide a perma protection to 5 people.

Precision Strike - HIGHLY recommend using this ONLY for catching up to players when Phase Traversal isn’t needed, not to mention you can crit for 2k-3k easily with it.

Use this in fields, quick activation whirl finisher with a 4s cooldown is the key here. It’s awesome for tagging as well. But try not to interrupt your sword autoattack final strike.

Use this early and use it often as possible. The only exception is if your enemy is up against objects or it’ll put you in a questionable position (right into the middle of a death zone) after.

Coalescene of Ruin - One of the BEST skills for DPS on hammer, not only does it provide good dmg, but a low CD as well, not to mention most never avoid it, so that’s a plus!(you’re better off using this and not the AA) on average it does 5k-17k.

The key with this skill is area denial and positioning. While it does have a 2s cooldown and energy is recovered by the time it is cast, it isn’t always the best option but should be weaved through the standard hammer attack rotation. While it lasts, work on positioning targets to be at the ~800 range for potential double hits (depends on your elevation relative to target).

It’s another use it early and use it often skill especially if you can hit a field. The only reason you shouldn’t use it is if you need to catch up or escape.

Enchanted Daggers - Best healing skill that can be used offensively, highly recommend using this when missing some HP, to do a bit more dps, or when you plan on using UA(sword 3#) If possible, always use this as an opener or force some dodge rolls before doing it to secure some more hits on them.

This ability is actually one of the cheapest damage to energy cost skills that Rev has. Before you swap out of Shiro, it should be activated even if you don’t need the heal.

Jade winds - Has to be one of the best CCs in this game in my opinion, always recommend using it when fighting 2+, swap legends(if you have no energy left) and burst out the squishy target immediately.

It’s actually high risk/high reward and can change the entire fight but make sure the other player doesn’t have stab up first. Immediately using on swap is how I beat opponent Revs because the Shiro stance swap is extremely high level graphic, I then evade because I know what’s coming.

Facet of Nature - I can’t stress this enough, I see so many revenants that rarely use this, ALWAYS use this before entering combat, its an insane facet that grants a very good amount of boons(mainly want it for the protection it provides its 6sec!)

Don’t use this when entering combat. Instead activate Facet of Nature during the animation time of your evades (i.e. Sword UA – hello, Might stacks gets a 50% boon duration increase or Hammer PS when aiming at a Fire field) and then as soon as that animation is over, then activate One with Nature. The key of F2 is Protection + Regen + a ton of more offense all subject to the 50% boon increase too. Basically, spam it if in combat; it’s enormous the difference this ability makes to the entire Rev class both offensively and defensively so if you are struggling, master this first.

Its a good build, but so far the ones I’ve fought against with the PvP build I have here I’ve won most of them, just dodge some of their big attacks that come from condi and burst him out quick, their only reliable heal is coming from mallyx, so you have a huge advantage.

They’re good but this is mostly my preferred play style, worked so far against most players for me, Facet of nature is probably the only thing I have to keep on since I got a habit of using it 24/7 when in fights, since I mostly do spvp to provide boons for everyone.
As for UA, other than the purpose of might stacking or evading, I find it useless as its insanely buggy and can easily be avoided by good players, not to mention I can always do more dps for autoing.
