Looks like we got pools of energy sinks, from weapons skills which cost a bunch ( wtf with the cooldown too? laughs a Thief), from upkeeps, from heals, from elites.
How about something like " restore X energy when hit with a crit" or “restores X energy every Y seconds”. At this rate, we’ll see a bunch of AA Revs.
IMO the best option to manage energy problems is reducing the cost of energy on utilities and adding an equivalence in seconds to 1% of energy,
i.e. 1% energy=2 seconds CD, Impossible Odds=currently -10 energy, 0 sec CD, make it -5 energy and add a 10 sec CD when turning it off, that way you can make it last for 5 seconds and still be able to do other stuff instead of using it 3 seconds and not being able to do as much.
Reducing energy costs may alleviate some issues with energy on rev but actual energy managed skills and traits would add a lot more fun and complexity to rev. It seems almost crazy to put out an energy based profession that doesn’t have a means to manage it’s energy, well other than legend swap.
Energy management would fit nicely as the extra 1-2 utilities people want to be able to tweak their legends. “Gain energy on hit for next x hits” for shiro, “gain energy for each condition on your foes for mallyx” and so on.
