Discuss. It now looks like some good flavor and could fit in with a meta-minded group.

Rev still needs swiftness/mobility, aaand AOE fury would sure be nice to provide some group support that many lack.

The new changes are great, and we’re in good hands. It’s going to be tons of fun.

Current issues I’m having:
- Lack of reliable condition removal for DPS weapons/legends/trait lines.
- Little to no Energy Manipulation (especially in traits).
- Would prefer swapping to 100% energy because it’s not fun to have a 3-7 second global skill lock out when you swap to a set and use a clutch skill, especially ones that cost 50 energy such as Forced Engagement.
- Elites deserve a cooldown 25-30 second range so they can be more practical and energy can be better designed around their actual moves and not fear of Elite spamming.
- Mallyx not working well in teams when you’re getting conditions removed from you, making it impossible to build up conditions for stronger spell effects.

Those are my concerns, but I’m beyond excited to play Revenant now. They’re definitely moving in the right direction at least.

The Elites drain half of your energy either instant or in 5 seconds, I agree that Mallyx needs work, what bothers me is that there’s no worthy group support for PvE compared to other classes, even Necro has better party support now burst healing can just do so much for the party, the 150 extra ferocity isn’t that great as support IMO. We’ll have to wait and see the changes in damage, in the previous test Rev didn’t fare well because you could sustain 1v1 but you couldn’t do much damage, so you just got outsustained in PvP/WvW Roaming. Yet even with Shiro I still feel Revenant is lacking group support and damage.

- Lack of reliable condition removal for DPS weapons/legends/trait lines.
- Lack of any tanking capability (Jalis elite is the only protective ability is too slow, too short and costs too much)
- Mallyx legendary skills are a mess in group play.
- No group support aside from Ventari, but…
- Ventari is near to useless because managing the table prevents you from actually being able to help with dps.

Aside from that, I’m excited to try the sword, and the dps builds, even if frail, look fun to play.

Welcome aboard the Revenant Hype Train.

Revenant will surely be passable in PvE, but I’m more interested in taking my Shiro Rev for a spin in PvP. Our combat mobility seems really fun to play with.

I doubt we will see too much of a boost in damage in the next iteration, though that will come, if only to scale the class with the rest. They pointed out that they were concentrating on making the mechanics for the class work first, before adjusting the damage.

I do agree that the lack of buffs is a glaring flaw.

Mallyx needs to be tuned better, true, but his legend is based around screwing with your character. THe better stuff comes at a cost to you, and in group play, with condition removal out the wazoo, that means that Mallyx is underpowered unless you move out of range of the removals.

Ventari is a bit of a mixed bag, really. The mobility of the table is its biggest selling point, but micromanaging that seriously hurts the dps. When I ran with him, I basically only moved the table when I was moving out of its range. Not ideal, but it was workable.

- This is a forum, expect logic to get left at the door, beaten bloody, and set on fire.

- The more asinine the post or thread, the more I am amused.

I agree with a lot of the stuff being thrown down here. I definitely wouldn’t say the class is finished, but we’re in a good direction.

I really hope we add at least aoe fury to our support. It would fill a gap in some groups (IE your ele(s) can’t keep it up with blasts, or your war would rather run str/disc/prec signet) and we have immense synergies with it.

Fury + ferocity trait + reflects as needed + vuln + high personal dps + flavor

It’s looking pretty good. And with a swap we can pump all the fire fields we’d ever want + many blasts. Not that might was much of an issue.

I’d like to see tablet movement not put every kitten still on a global cooldown.

I’d also like to see come cooldowns removed to we can better manage energy.

And energy management traits and reductions.

Obviously balance is in the works, ie some skills too weak compared to their high energy costs (ie all of the elites).

I hope Shiro mobility is all we hope it will be.

And of course Rev drops with HOT which means we still have an unseen elite spec awaiting. (Glint!?)
