No revive skill on revs
um check herald trait line it’s called Radiant Revival. Sure it’s not banner ,but it def the most OP pick up in the game.

Do you even… nvm. What I’m saying is a skill for reviving people, not something that helps while trying to revive someone, let me reiterate it, WHILE YOU REVIVE SOMEONE, YOU KNOW ROOTED AND UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE AND OPEN TO ATTACKS YOURSELF. Oh so you’re just going to pop Infuse Light on your sorry team mate, then leave them there? DOES RADIANT REVIVAL PREVENT STOMPING? Rethorical question, does revive skills prevent stomping?
I’ve always found revival skills a bit of a gimmick, only useful in fights where pugs drop like flies, and they usually have a pretty harsh trade-off like a super long cooldown. It’s a nice thing to have once in a while, but I would hate to trade an already limited utility set for something that’s usually not as useful as some people think. Just use Shiro and use IO to quick revive, it works really well.

I know exactly what you meant hence why I said “it’s no banner”. This does not change the fact that we can still get people up really fast. In PvP Radiant Revival is an instant rez due to all the aoe going on. If RR is on cd you can always just use IO for a quick rez. Sure these aren’t as strong as banner ,but they don’t have as long of cooldowns either. Revs don’t need an instant revive (which RR is anyway in several situations). Use the tools they already have.
pop infuse light and go raise. gg you’re now rooted but immune to damage and you’re also giving an op boon to your ally.
by the way, very few classes have a ranged revive skill (I think only necro, guardian and warrior), so I don’t get your criticism.
EDIT: oh and ranger too.

If someone tried to use Signet of Mercy in a raid, I would probably kick them.
Revenant does not need a revive skill.
Also you may want to check up on your definition of “penultimate”.

Thanks for correction.
I would probably kick you if I you didn’t use Signet of Mercy in a raid.
I remember we check each other’s build before starting a Zaishen mission in Guild Wars 1. We plan before doing the hard version of the Zaishen mission, that includes carrying rez signet, and other necessities. Is GW2 any different, just because you can dangerously rez someone by standing next to them?
well that sucks. using revive skills in raid is a good tool for learning. not really ideal if you farm the content

Yes, GW2 is very different. Signet of Mercy is literally the worst utility skill a Guardian has access to (barring maybe traps, apparently). A Guardian running Signet of Mercy is a liability because first, that’s a utility slot gone to waste that could have been used for something that provides more team utility; and second, that’s a sign that they likely don’t know how to effectively play their class.
If you’d kick me for not running it, then well, good luck finding a competent raid party.
For whatever reason ANet decided against allowing Revenants to have more than the set 3 utilities per Legend.
That means you’re likely never going to get a revive skill unless that changes because those skills are too niche to fit into a hard coded skill bar.
