With the new plague of necros left and right in ranked (at least 2 in every match…) anyone else feels the old condi rev is underperforming ATM?

You can say that about revenants in general, Revenants don’t handle condis all too well unfortunately. Of course this problem is doubled when you are a condi rev and have your condis sent back at you and then some.

Revenants are still in a decent place TBH and I wouldn’t say they are necessarily underperforming. Revs do well with an ele with healing/condi clear. It just depends on the your comp and the team comp. I personally don’t run condi rev when there are more than 1 necro on the opposing team, which is quite often TBH.

It can be rough out there with condis flying everywhere but you can make it still.

no they are not, they are only good for ganking 2v1 now. If you go up againts a necro alone you are going to get boon kittened

It is still good, either Viper’s or Mercenary’s. With recent change you can opt for Soothing Bastion over Bulwark if you face many Reapers and use your Shield skills to further increase duration of Resistance, dropping or not Runes of Leadership.

Boon corruption from Necromancers is now more predictable because more and more drop Spite with insta-corrupt Signets and CtD boonrip procs in favour of Corrupt Boon you can avoid with correct timing. It’s dangerous and every 10s, but at least you won’t suddenly get rekt by proc.

There is only one condi class now (if they are in a match and usually there are at least 3 of them each match I played so far) – NE-CRO-MAN-CER. Greedy, selfish dipkitten condi class. Just like Elementalist was last season was with their “no-condi politics”. “Oh you pushed yourself so hard laying those condis on me, let me givem back to ya”. “Booon?? No my PRECIOUUUSSS, only me can haz it – you have conditions instead”. Think even condi mesmer would handle it better now than revenants.
I switched to power revenant myself, with sigils generosity and purity in main weapon, helps somewhat. Even getting “top condiitons removed” stat in the end of a matchup sometimes -.-

P.S Ofc you could throw some condi pressure at necros and hide behind and obstacle before they transfer conditions back at you, slowly burning them but that’s 1 trick pony.

Yeah it’s still viable. It feels squishier cause dps builds are more common but it still works. Power is more cheese if you’re into that.

The resistance skill is kind of bad. I get more effective healing/handling condis by spending that energy elsewhere. Boon removal plus confusion is great. Our AOE chill torment dark field is amazing. The elite skill is kind of meh for condi. I actually use it for when I need the extra power or when a foe can’t be burnt.

Lot’s of potential in the stance, but overall it feels unfinished.

This … having more than 1 necro on a team kind of keeps a Rev in check. Having an ele and a scrapper also benefits a Rev greatly with all the heals and condi removal that comes flying out of them.

I’m at sapphire right now and the average amount of reapers seem to be around 2. I’m seeing them more then any other class by far. 3 reapers on a team isn’t entirely uncommon and I have seen 4-5 reapers but that is much more rare.

In soloQ, I would recommend running power all the way.

Condi is absolutely still viable. Reapers can make it tough but it’s still doable and condi rev has one of the strongest plus ones in the game.

Power is better and easier though
