So knowing that GW2 likes to keep to its timelines. I was wondering what will happen with a newly created character that makes a Revenant. Since the founding of the Revenant will happen 3 years after the normal events of the personal story. I for one am hoping that there will be a unique story for newly created Revenants, rather than just tossing them out into LA.

Has anyone heard anything from Arena Net in regards to this?

I believe they said there will be no unique “personal” story since no other profession has one.

There will be some lore though, presumably from playing the HoT stuff

I realize this, but they can not give the normal race story to Revenant since it would have been 3 years before the Revenant was even heard of. But I said all that in my OP.

There won’t be any specific story. Thia was stated largely by the dev.
HoT story might or might not address this and if it doesn’t i’ll leave what i always though.
The Mists allow time travel (possibly).
Rytlock can train the first generation of rev and send them back to tyria before personal story: these would be the profession masters (the NPC from which we used to buy trait books) and these will train the Revs.
To avoid “time problems” Rytlock can tell them to do not reveal his identity until mordremoth arrival.

It’s okay. You’re a guy who grew up in DR slums that just happens to be able to summon ancient heroes and monsters from the netherworld. It’s quite common, really, no need for an explanation.

they could just add a separate line for revenants around the time rytlock mentions training revenants, something like “I see you’re back from your training in the mists. did you enjoy your stroll down memory lane?”, making the PS/LS2 retroactively you reliving memories in the mists as part of your training
