What does everyone plan on doing when the revenant is released?

For me, it depends. The day HoT is released (which is appearing more and more likely that rev will not be released early which is fine) I am hoping to have my tomes back up to 60 and break my rule of not insta lvling just because I would love to run through the Personal story and season 2 nonstop to get into HoTs content and experience the full expansion on my revenant.

I leveled my warrior (through tomes and some map completion (I think I had gotten to to level 50 without tomes before I gave up) more because I don’t care for the class) and my engi (which I made it to 70 without tomes and gave up which is why I need to grind pvp to get tomes again ^^; ) just in case I needed an eighty that wasn’t a sylvari and played through the story first on one of them (warrior is a norn and engi is an asura). But the classes aren’t right for me and I will just keep playing them in fractals only until HoT is released.

The only reason I am going to level the rev to 80 is for the mastery system. If there is away to gain mastery points (which I believe the devs said there was) outside of the new maps, then I will be working on both the legendary precursor line and the fractal one while I work through the personal story and just ignore map chat and any party chat (while in fractals) over the new story that will be coming out until I am done with it myself. The only draw backs to this are: one, I won’t get to see the newer maps until much later and two, most of the crowds going through the achievements will be passed. And the best days for those are the first two weeks the content is out.

What are your plans?

Note: this is not a forum asking for early release. It is a forum on what you plan on doing the moment you get your hands on the revenant. If you’re planning on maining them, are you going through the personal story, season 2? Just what are you planning on doing when the revenant launches?

Level it. Dress it up. Kill stuff with it. Rp with it.

You could make it now and see. You don’t have to rep or anything just to see if the name is there. Keep in mind you get 5 guilds. But sounds like a good idea, sadly I am playing a sylvari rev

I plan to insta-level mine to 80, then start hitting up hero points. I’ll do some of the HoT stuff, but for the most part I will be in WvW testing out everything I can come up with.

Gonna insta level to 30, then 50 tome it. Have full bags, ascended gear and otherwise ready to go currently.

First priority when HOT comes out is to unlock Pact Commander. I know HOT is the big deal, but auto loot? Get the !@#$ out. This is priority #1 and I’ll spend my time working on XP in Tyria working up mastery XP there any way I can (world completion, events, whatever) with +50% boosters and +100% boosters all saved up and ready to go.

After that, whatever. WvW, HOT, etc all good.

I don’t understand everyones admiration for the pact commander line, it seems nice if you plan to help other players, but i really do not understand where the fandom for the auto loot is coming from, is pushing F every now and then (if you haven’t rebound it) really that hard? I imagine if i had Auto loot, i’d still be smacking F out of habit.

But for me, it’s boosting to 80, getting any excess hero points if needed, then going straight for the new HoT content.

You must not play WvW in large group fights.

There’s also the karma vendor with potentially some great stuff on there (presumably some things that aren’t available anymore, like they mention the Human God backpacks). But yes the auto loot is very valuable to me for many reasons, specifically the one where it loots even if you go down. Really hate that and there’s times in WvW it’s just not possible to collect your bags you got on the floor and you got other things to worry about than mashing F. More importantly these things help everywhere, where a lot of the HOT stuff seems to be focused entirely only in HOT.

The whole guidance thing, whatever.

I always try out a Nomad gear pure tank healer no offense build to see If I can make a pure healer that works and can hang in the group in wvw. So far it hasnt worked out but apparently half the traits weren’t even working and hearld might change things.
P.S. The only thing I did find that worked well for the above was a bomb healing engi but that trait seems to be gone now.

I plan on leveling without tombs, gunna do a lot of wvw prolly lool then the story/dungeon parts when they are available

then once im 80 gotta go get that herald and explore the new maps

….excpet prolly just get ruished by my friends who wanna go to the new maps right away XD
