Possible condi raid spot
Yup, it is kittening enraging.
My prediction is that Condi rev pure DPS is still too low to warrant taking and if it gets any meta use, it will be in place of the second Condi ps warrior. Mace can stack a ton of might thanks to the spamable fire field and blast finisher which while not terribly reliable thanks to being field dependent but can be augmented with herald instead of Jalis at the expense of a small DPS loss. By going herald you get 25 might pretty reliably, naturalistic resonance, fury, and protection (can’t pulse them all at same time though) while doing comparable DPS to a second Condi ps, and probably higher on a moving target.
There are still a few drawbacks compared to a second ps such as no range for things like gorse orbs, karde turrets, xera shards, etc. The might stacking also is more dependent on blasting fire fields which is not reliable and the radius of might application is much smaller than for ps requiring the group to be stacked tight. Also the cc is a bit worse than even Condi ps unless you swap to staff which kills DPS especially for a Condi build. We shall see what people come up with after real testing. The one thing I can say conclusively is that their incompetent balance team somehow managed to kill power rev even more thoroughly this patch; now it is like a level 3 ghost having been killed repeatedly while already dead.

They just have to rework torment in pve so that it will do 100% damage to stationary targets. Atm torment pve wise makes no sense.
Playing Smite since mid s2, f broken gw2.
it hits 30k on stationary at least and people were taking pure condi non ps warrior for dps slots which hits the same numbers, so sure it might not be “the best” option or what speed runners will want to take, but it’s still viable and should be a fine dps slot, especially against any target that moves. Not to mention it still has great CC and AP for more group damage
Whats the point that it gets 30k? Every other condi spec beats rev. Everything beats rev at this point.
Condi ele Will be fixed soon.
The real problem of condi revenant IMO is that actually it’s rotation is very unforgiving so it is not that Easy to adapt at bosses mechanics + doesn’t provide any cc since axe 5 being part of rotation and swap to staff would bè terrible for your DPS.
I think it Need some Energy cost reduction on rotation’s skills to make it a bit more flexible.
Btw I really think is a solid DPS class now in the right hands. Not for everyone.
ele already fixed
Still miles ahead.
I am waiting to forge stuff on my ele but i dont think since nerf its been benchmarked, but tend to agree probably will be ahead
Whats the point that it gets 30k? Every other condi spec beats rev. Everything beats rev at this point.
That’s just not true. 30k at the moment is it’s baseline on a non moving target meaning any boss that moves will take higher amounts than that. If condi ranger can make their tiny bonfires work on moving targets condi rev sure as hell can make their mace 2 work on them, plus gain the benefit of 20k torment ticks during movement.
Sure it’s not going to be used for QT speed clears most likely, but it’s comparable if not better than several other condi and power dps options I’ve seen pugs and organized groups use over the past few months.
30k is not negligible (considering the build doesn’t loose as much dps as other builds in real scenarios because of torment and that they’re still trying to figure out runes, stats and sigils) and it can apply resistance when necessary to take some pressure off the healers loosing “only” 1k dps.
Sure, it’s very selfish (only if AP goes wasted because of full condi subgroup). And yes, it deals less damage that other builds for the same spot. But this also happens with guard (less damage than other options, only provides occasional aegis and stability) and there isn’t a bunch of people campaigning against it.
I know I’m gonna use it with my stable raid group, I just hope more people looked on the bright side and didn’t deny revenant players the opportunity to use it.
Edit: I just wondered when has this game become a math challenge where everything is measured in still golem dps. Having fun in a videogame? How ludicrous.

nailed it! that’s what happens when dps meters get into a game. I have always said that the “dummys” and “golems” are great to practice but should in no way be the end all tool for saying what is right and wrong. Bottom line, did your group get the kill and have fun doing it? Yes, then its a win in spite of the numbers. Now granted 4 hours on one would suck but I would hope a team does do better than that.
But yea, dps meters shouldn’t be the goal, just a guide.

Honesty for me, as I already said, condi rev problem is not the bit lower DPS, that is still very solid, but instead the fact at least with Power revenant, or other DPS classes, you have a bit more of flexibility talking about rotation while with condi rev you are forced Just to do your rotation.
I Will explain better: with Power rev for example, when was viable, you could swap to staff if your group needed more cc or do things like share protection.
With other classes, for example Tempest, you can swap utility skill (like for example lighting flash for sabetha, hammer for samarog etc etc) if the encounter, and your group Need it.
With cranger for example you can quickdraw SB 5 or swap pet if you Need more cc, or even take an other utility skill (search and rescue for samarog cm as example)
With condi revenant you are Just top forced into your damage rotation, that is Also very unforgiving.
So MY problem with condi revenant is that is just not flexibile, aka boring.
And I got bored already while testing it on golem

Well, this depends on how much dps are you willing to lose. You can change venom enhancement for demonic defiance for the ability of giving resistance when needed, since venom is the least effective condition in this build. You can change jallis for glint and provide some protection, this is only 1k dps loss without taking into account AP. Regarding CC, I’d say mace/sword could be a very good option, since the pull applies chil and raid groups have stopped relying on surge of the mists. And as I said earlier: this build doesn’t lose as much dps in raid scenarios comparing to golem as other builds, because of torment.
Edit: seems my rotation is based on a false premise. I now realize that axe 4 costs the same amount of energy than axe 5. Back to the golem.

Unfortunately, Condi Ele can also replace a PS while still doing well over 30k.

Yeah, no. Once the boss moves out of your fire fields the DPS increase will be negligible if not non existent.
When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all.

You clearly haven’t tested it or played condi ranger/condi engi/condi ele in actual raids

True but it’s still hitting 33k -39k depending on target size

Yep can confirm, condi tempest is still Crazy good.
The answer in short is yes, tried and tested condi rev does just fine in raids. Oh and guess what? so does power rev! Best advise I can give to people out there struggling to raid through lfg with rev’s is find a raiding guild. These guilds are good enough to make rev’s fit and bring you up to speed on maximizing your dps.
