Hey guys
I love playing Power Rev in PvP, but I’m getting tired of Shield for Off-Hand.. I see that is the one that offers the most for you and your team, but what would be in your opinion guys, the second best off-hand? Sword because of the block? Sword block would actually be superior to Shield on IMO if it was 3 seconds, because I really don’t like blocks that root you.

Don’t know. To be honest not really impressed with any of the off hands but I’ve been sticking with shield.

Im sticking with shield for now, but even if i wasnt i still prefer axe as an offhand, does decent damage, has a gap closer, and an aoe pull/knockdown.
Its a more aggressive playstyle but having the extra gap closer lets you save energy to use for more shiro evades instead of phase traversals, so its more like a thief play style then a bruiser

Yeah, been trying Axe and it’s pretty nice. I just need to get used to a more squishy playstyle so I don’t go Kamikaze all the time.
I got bored of Shield.. and can’t find many skins that I like for it, and the ones I like are expencive…

Anyone else using Axe off-hand for Power Rev? Really enjoying the playstyle, leave me more squishy but the damage is great

been using axe lately, and its working great, most people dont expect it so it catches them by surprise for some extra damage. Play well and position urself properly and you should be able to do fine without shield. I’ve lost count to how many times guards or other revs use shield for that desperate heal only for my axe #4 to down them (unblockables ftw), and the low CD axe 5 is great for team fights too.

I did try sword initially, and I think its great (imho, rev sword OH shouldve been given to thief) but sword 5 was a bit lackluster in pvp, it does better in 1v1 in wvw or something. Also Axe 4 does more dmg than sword 5.

Sword works alright for the block and landing a grasping shadow feels great. That being said the reposte ability is very awkward and costly and grasping shadow is just hard to land
