So this topic will be based on my thoughts about renegade in pvp. I hope anet checks this out because maybe they will take some ideas out of this thread.
Shortbow:
SB 1: lacks damage/condi duration/attack speed
SB 2: lacks damage/condi duration
SB 3: too slow animation and the ranged mechanic ( you hit harder if your target is far from you) doesnt work in pvp at all
SB 4: too slow animation, you cant place it behind you and the field it provides doesnt have a decent duration
SB 5: It would make more sense to be a knock back rather than a knock down and either the energy cost would be reduced to 15 or the cast time would be reduced

F2/F3/F4 abilities:
All of these abilities are not worth in pvp, either you make them not waste energy or change them. I had some thoughts about how you could make these abilities viable in pvp so I’ll share them.
F2: instead of giving might per each stack of kala, make it convert a condition into a boon per each stack and increase the CD and energy cost.
F3: The missiles are hitting random positions, inside the aoe radius, so make the radius smaller and decrease the energy cost to like 20/25
F4: Alacrity is almost useless on rev, so you should add something else to this ability ( like a condi removal, a breakstun, an acces to swiftness ) and make alacrity impact energy regeneration

New legend
To start with, I dont like the breakstun on legend swap, it should be moved to either an utility or a F ability otherwise invocation revs wont benefit from the traited break stun on legend swap.
Healing skill: It doesnt provide enough heal/the CD is too high/ the 10s heal pulses are useless since it demanda the rev to stay inside the radius and in a teamfight the charr will melt. Ways to make the heal viable? Make it insta heal the total amount it would heal during the 10s or at least reduce the pulsing time for 5s or smth/ reduce the CD to 20s and make the -33% condi dmg a condi removal instead (2 condis removed at least)
Razorclaw’s rage utility: this skill is just not worth using at least in pvp. Too low bleed duration/ too high energy cost/ too little impact. Ways to improve it? Make the bleeding duration higher/ turn it into a break stun/ reduce the energy cost/ make it apply bleed to foes itself whipe buffing allies and make it apply 3 bleeds every 3s instead of 1 every 1s with a bigger duration (9s as a suggestion)
Darkrazor’s daring: Its fine as long as you either make it unblockable or reduce the CD
Icerazor’s ire: make it do the same damage/aplly same condis with less hits otherwise the guy will kill itself vs retaliation and reduce the energy cost to 20.

Traits:
Major adept traits: you dont need a trait to help you getting more KF so all the adept traits are kinda useless besides the bleed duration one so just give them a stronger impact having in mind that sustain is the main weakness on renegade.
Major Master traits: they are fine
Major grandmaster: I would just change the righteous rebel. The -33% condi dmg is really good. The F4 duration and radius increasement are useless since F4 wont be used in normal circumstances in pvp. In case you change smth on the f4 ability then just makr the 2nd part of this trait sinergy with those changes otherwise just make this trait give like an aoe condi removal or smth that would be more useful for the renegade itself.

Alright so I guess this is most of what I think about the renegade in pvp. Currently this specialization wouldnt work with any build ( power/hybrid/support/bruiser/condi) in pvp which means it is really weak atm in this game mode so I hope anet changes a lot of things.
Just to make it clear, this thread is based on my experience as a pvp rev main during the weekend so all the suggestions I made might not be the best for some of the other players, however, I believe I know the pvp scene pretty well to see what could or not work on this new specialization and I believe anet could use some suggestions.

I played around with SB more and I have to change my mind on SB 5. If they “properly fix” SB 3 to align with the instant cast trick, then SB has a good setup combo. SB 5 will KD your enemy in place giving you an easy time to land SB 3. If they keep it the way it is, SB 5 will need a KB like you suggested which will kind of make SB 3 easier to land but not really better than the KD. Of course this will be better if they fixed the ghost missile bug of SB 3. Also SB 5 needs to be a ground target. Seems like Rev is getting the kittenting “facing skillshot” like we got with staff 5. Let us aim it and fire.

Yeye it still doesn’t change the fact that shorbow 5 has a high energy cost and a long cast time.
