Guild Wars 2

Hi all! I used to play this game with my friends back a few years back. Since then, I see that ALOT of positive functions has been added to the game! (YAY) So we decided to give GW2 another try.

I really like the way the Rev works, mobility with burst but still some tankiness and functions in teamfight. However, it seems I was a little late since the class has already been nerfed to the ground.

Now, I am a good player (2,5k WoW, Diamond LoL, Supreme in CS:GO), so I know that you should roll the class you enjoy playing and not the meta. In contrast, I still wanna be able to play in the competitive scene, can Rev make due here?

Lastly, let’s say I am capped in skill, and my opponents are top tier, what classes will still beat me 1v1?

Don’t worry about it, most say class and profession too. Heck, I do it all the time myself and I’ve been playing GW2 almost exclusively for the last four years.

I’m assuming you mean PvP mode? I don’t have as much PvP experience myself, so others would be better to answer, but look into the power build. With a skilled player, Rev can still do well. I know you said no to Meta, but look at it first then base your build on it. Unfortunately, rev doesn’t have a lot of flexibility when it comes to deviating from Meta currently.
