Why is the Revenant not channeling my GWAMM Ranger from Guild Wars? GW2 Ranger sucks. I’m trying to channel my ancestor but Revenant is broken and not doing it. How fix?

The picture of the rev in the training wheel shows a pretty small bow. I really hope it is longbow instead however, since the skins are so much nicer than shortbow.

Anet effectively Infracted everyone that linked to the leak and had Imgur remove all the images that the reddit post was created around. Quite a few people got banned from the forums due to the leak being linked to/ posted

Is not a me. Is what it is. I known that you’re a fairly good Rev player and I like your hammer videos but even you must agree that some of those players you crush 1 vs n are mediocre.

I saw almost every 1 vs 1 tournament hosted by Jebro and I saw a fair amount of skilled Druids using longbow and winning duels vs hard opponents. I saw a good amount of skilled Revs in those matches (some of them defeating skilled players using natural hardcounters as condi Chronomancers and chill Reapers) and not a single one did wield a hammer. The same in the World Championships and the Pro League.

If hammer was a good weapon at PvP, duelling or roaming you should see that reflected in the game, which isn’t the case. Yes, is fun vs baddies and unaware targets, but as soon as you hit some challenging player it becomes subpar. As the condi buids. And that’s the reason due nex weapon will be a condi/hybrid ranged sort of bow, instead a greatsword or something else.

A good amount of Rangers do use either longbow #3 (Hunter Shot) or one trap to set stealth, and then use longbow #4 (Point Blank Shot) or the pet jump paired with the trait which roots on knockback to to inmobilize the target and get an easy burst with lb #2 or bristleback attacks. Due the stealth, they can make hard to prevent with blocks or evades the lb #4 + root combo.

HoT came with a lot of “projectile hate” which made hard the life of some ranged weapons, but due the traits of the class Ranger’s longbow is far from being a bad weapon. Here’s Lord Hizen crushing half of Cake Walk at duels using a Ranger with staff + longbow:

I would love to see hammer Rev as competitive, but I think that isn’t possible.

original Elite Specs were also leaked by people like That Shaman, and that not once took away hype from the game. In fact, that brought more excitement. The leaks did a better job of hyping the first expansion than the marketing team did themselves.

Actually there is only one condi set for game and thats Mace/Axe so yeah it would make sense that it will be condi ranged. From the legend probably burn focussed.
But i still have to agree that the power sets need improvements.
Sword gets worse with more targets, hammer still has bugs and staff has a weak auto attack and the second skill is clunky as hell.

On a slightly more lore-based thing, I find it odd that the legend I saw in one of the vids has a statue depicting her holding a greatsword in Black Citadel, not a bow of any kind.

What if the Long Bow skills change based on what Legend you are using? That could be sick.

That could really make Support Healer Centaur Legend actually useful with a handfull of useful Bow healing skills akin to Ranger Druid’s staff.

Also imagine Dwarf ‘s version on Bow skills, very CC heavy and all about control and defense, more closer to Guardian’s Dragon Hunter.

Assassin Legend Bow Skills all out Power attacks.

Demon Legend bow skills all about conditions and torment and life stealing or perhaps life draining aspect.

I actually like this idea but I am not sure if they are going to spend so much time on it…
Also I would prefer long bow heavy armor class to short bow. I hope that they will decide to go with the long bow.

Yeah I agree, the way they release information is a really good way to stifle any chance of player excitement.
