Considering Elite Specializations allow a profession to use a Utility archetype from another profession(s), what can the Revenant give to other professions, considering it’s utilities are also it’s profession mechanic.

If it doesn’t give anything, and it only receives new legends for it’s E-specs rather than real utility skills, it could feel rather isolated from the other professions, when the other 8 are swapping utility archetypes to fill out holes in the roles and playstyles they can fulfil and Revenant is stuck in it’s own microcosm.

While Revenants should have their legend’s skills, I also feel like they should have a pool of regular utility skills that can be used instead of a Legendary Stance skill. For example, if I decide my build doesn’t benefit from having Pain Absorption on Mallyx, I could swap it out for a generic Revenant-style utility skill, which gives Revenant more build diversity, and it gives the other professions another utility archetype to inherit when more Elite Specializations come round.

That’s one of the coolest aspects of Revenant. What it has that’s unique is flexibility and a dual-focus adaptability. It’s a bit like Druid in WoW, flexibility is a very fun and unique aspect to a build, and so far it does it better than anyone else (at least in theory), and being able to switch on the fly.

It doesn’t necessarily need to have something that can easily be copied to fit well, if anything, it makes it more unique. Love me some Revenant for those reasons, honestly.

I do wish, however, they each legend had a bit of a corresponding stat boost based on legend so that swapping to a legend allows you to better match that type.

Like being in a stance gives 250
Mallyx – Condition damage
Jalis – Toughness
Shiro – Power
Ventari – Healing Power
Glint – ??? (Boon duration?)

Then balance accordingly. I do feel like this is something the class could really use to make that focus swapping aspect work a little better,

High Warlord Sikari (80 Reaper) / Lord Siekron (80 DH)
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
