One of the big things we keep getting told about the Revenant is how it can double-heal by switching legends. But how does this work out in practice? Are the heals actually balanced to take this into account? Would that not then lock you out of a crucial heal if you needed the heal after you had just switched legends?
Would it be more feasible for Revenants to pick a heal that does not change when legends are swapped?
What have been your experiences with your revenant and your skill 6 abilities?
Saved my butt a number of times in WvW today.
Underpowered on pvp you have 2 heal skill but you cant avoid damage with other skill like all other class + 0 mobility is unplayable.
The double heal is really nice but is not enough sustain and active defense by itself. Buffs to some sustain traits may help improve that situation. I think the cd’s are a bit long on them though given how they are really the only big form of sustain given to us outside of support and ventari but overall it feels really nice to me. Loving playing my rev!

Result – everyone walk over revenant without any issue, even new players. Funny tho as Jalis was sold as “tank” legend yet it doesnt provide any tank abilities at all. So yes double heal is not worth it in current state.

This is part of my worry. Since the Rev has two heals, those healing values have to be balanced with legend-swapping in mind. The result being that the Rev heals may be individually too weak.
I feel 30 second CD on Dwarf and Demon stance heals, are maybe a bit to high. I would have them around 25.
Reason being if I am under heavy pressure I use both to get to around 60-70% health, and that leaves me with no heal for quite some time.
Even it it was like Guardian elite signet (full heal), being forced to actively control the tablet puts a death flag over your head.
Ventari is simply worthless in pvp at the moment. You can’t tank like a Guardian, not a chance.
On my Guardian I can take a full team for many seconds before I go down, with the most defensive Revenant I could pull I don’t usually survive 1 vs 1.
Again, Revenant can’t even tank.

If you have Centaur as a legend, you dont get double heal. And pretty much screwed if focused.

And that’s another problem too.
This is why I think it would almost be preferable for the Revenant’s skill 6 heal not to change, but that’s no longer a feasible option due to Ventari.
By the numbers, the Jalis and Mallyx heal are each individually equivalent to heals on other professions. If you use them back-to-back, then you essentially have twice the healing of every other profession.

Except they have longer cooldowns, you have to go through two times the casting, they require energy (mostly a clunk issue) and being in the right stance at the right time, on top of very lacking general defense on the class. I wouldn’t say it’s like having two heals, it’s not that great at all, especially when one has a 1.25 cast time and the other has a 1 sec cast time.
The double heal has been big game in all my pvp encounters so far. You can really maximize heal per second as well with the current heal system.
