Revenant damage subpar
Yeah, i have to say it’s a little off putting. I went to town with one during the HoT mapling stress test thing and I was having a great old time. I’ve played my rev on various high level maps today and I really can’t put my finger on why it seems to be less fun this time around. I’ll keep fooling with it anyway since I haven’t tried out staff yet.

So with healing/damage mitigation and condition legends your not doing enough physical damage. Can you see why that might be when reading what legends you have available to you?
wpn skills are hittin like noodles. Hammer is supposed to be DPS wpn (I assume so). And right it’s way to slow and dishin out nonexistant dmg.

Okay! If you do the mesmer, necromancer, elementalist and warrior, then I’ll do the other 4.

I’m loving the revenant with hammer and axe mace with jallis Legendary. But can certainly agree the base damage output is much too low. In my opinion it should be on par with hammer and mace for the guardian.
I expect that ANet will tune the damage output a bit higher. The nice thing is that this class has no real weaknesses. The bad thing is that it has no real strengths right now.

Well, that and they haven’t given us access to everything the Revenant is going to be able to do in HoT. They’ve given us just enough to play around with and get a feel for the thing.

It has all sorts of weaknesses. The main one being that it’s utilities are tied to the legendary stances so you are forced to run what they tell you to run.
If the Shiro weapon and legend combination does considerably more damage then none of these other weapons and legends will be used. So far the revenant is very underwhelming in pve.

Hm maybe… Wait… I forgot about the staff ele on fire… Pure AoE combined with one of the highest damage outputs in the whole game… No, AoE cant be the reason…

Yes, however I did not see any change in damage between the 3 Legends with weapon attacks. Yes the utilities change but changing Legends seemed to not affect your weapons in any way. Nor did my stats change as a result. I’m sure this is all being worked out but I think my concern is valid when the damage is this low.
