Revenant handicap
Your mistake as a Revenant is spamming your skills. You gotta play it similarly to Thief in some ways. Rely on your auto for dps, only use skills if you really need to and also back off from fights if you need to and let your energy recharge.
Im reading my post. I can’t find where I said I was spamming skills. I’ll read it again to make sure
Thief weapon skills have no cooldown if I’m not mistaken also their utilities don’t consume energy . . .

Due to the issue you’re having, it’s pretty much a given that you’re spamming skills that don’t need to be spammed.
Any non trolls that are not trying to turn this post into a troll insult the prayer post post? Trying to have a serious discussion.
They try too hard to make sure the class wasn’t overpowered so people would not cry that they handicapped it. I also noticed that when I’m fighting this class using other classes. Its not a challenge. I can beat it easy. When I see a Mesmar or a Thief I worry a bit Herald is one of the few classes that when I encounter it I know I’m gonna win easy.

No one insulted you…
You win bro you got me. You had your fun. I’m trying to get some serious input and have a serious discussion.

Unranked? I don’t know much about pvp, but I bet there are a lot of heralds that don’t really understand the class yet.
I don’t find managing energy and cool downs a big deal at all. Can you give a more specific example?
Having to choose to use my ulti or unrelenting assault. I should be able to use both in my opinion. It does not happen all the time but it happens and when I do run out of energy its annoying. I find myself screwed a lot when there is more than on person. If and hop of other classes and not care if theres if 2 people. But on this class gg
I think they’re trying to force you to use more than one Legend. I get that but in pvp I only find sin to be worth using. When people run away I use Phase Traversal to catch them. Then when I reach them I have no energy to kill them.
I gave constructive feedback to help you not waste energy so… yeah. Also Revenant is borderline OP right now. If weapons didnt have energy usage, then you could freely spam your utility skills so stuff like Quickness on Shiro would be way easier to use and you could use glint’s facets even more. Probably have all of them on at the same time while freely using your weapon skills.
the first day I was playing Revenant… I had the same problem than you.
But now… I find the energie manageable. You gotta do more games and try to understand how it works.
If you only had to use your energie for the utilities… it would make the class really boring.
Did you know that when you change your form, you regain 50% energie?
I find the Revenant really strong in 1v1 & TF. Mallyx/Herald, or Shiro/Herald are really OP imo.
You must be spamming (as already told) to run out of energie this quickly…
l2p issue sadly.

AA should kill them…. it doesn’t require energie.
Do you expect to be able to be on Impossible Odds all the time?
When I use Phase Traversal, it only requires 2 or 3 AA to finish the enemy (so chasing a low/mid life foe). I use it on guys shielding too as I can do 2 AA after the skill.
This really isn’t an issue what so ever, if I have to say so myself, I always seem to have energy to spare and waste it most of the time, heck, I rarely even need to use the elite, only time I see myself using it is normally to save an ally from being stomped, nothing else.
That’s why our weapon skills can be so boss, because they are expensive and most of the time slow.
I think some skill have a too high energy cost, both weapons and utilities.
I seriously hope a balance patch is coming before december 1st to address some of these issues.
I find that Mallyx elite, Embrace the Darkness, is a bit problematic as it is very easy to turn it on by accident, swap to another legend and then you can not turn it off (and it will be active until all energy have been depleted).
To play a Revenant to its full potential you need to swap legends depending on the situation and to regain the energy you need. If you’re only using one legend(Shiro as you mentioned), you’re basically handicapping yourself.
So there’s your answer.

As you know you can use utilities, swap legend and than press unrelenting assault with the energy of your other legend.
You can even cast Enchanted daggers in advance before you swap legend, to have that as well.
The whole point of the energy is to make choices and read the battle some in advance. Deciding how to use your energy and legends. It gives some extra depth to the class.
There would be not much of a choice left if you could empty your bar on utilities and than use your weapon attacks at no cost.
There are times that you can use the utilities a lot (for example if you go crazy on them so that you wont die, because you know backup will arrive) and other times you need to be careful with how much you use the utilities, because you need to follow them up with attacks that you need energy for.
I like how in some situations you can decide to use some abilities very extensively and other times you have to be more careful with them.
Besides the whole energy cost thing, the autoattack is free of cost and it doesnt hit to shabby.
Nobody’s trolling you.
Energy is incredibly easy to manage. I’m a decent-ish player and I’ve never had any problems with energy at all since the first bwe. I almost never even need to look at my energy bar unless I’m using a high cost upkeep.
I’m not sure why you’re trying to play without another legend. Most of them are, in fact, quite good if you use them correctly.
Why would you want to use your shiro elite and use UA anyway? That’s such a waste of energy and evasion. The auto can do a lot of damage for 0 energy cost, attack multiple enemies without any power loss and you can save UA for when you need to follow a target or evade a powerful attack.
You’re trolling yourself.
Weapon skills using CD + Energy is strange to me too. I though originally they were going to be like a reverse Thief; where their Utilities used energy while there weapons used CDs where as Thief uses CDs on Utilities and Ini for Weapon Skills~ although Thief would need hefty CD reductions on Utilities to be on par. (but no one wants Thief on par with anything so who cares I guess)
They broke that rule even more by putting a CD on Shiro and Herald Skills~ with the Elite being a heavy offender mainly. The Elite Herald skill is so slow/easily dodged and uses up so much energy that I don’t understand why it has a long CD attached to it.
Glint is the walking buffbot. The synergy with all other stances is supreme. Its perfect for people with extra Concentration and when combat starts you are full of long boons.
Glint is the only Stance that you can play in every combination i think. The revenant has the same OP Specialisation like all other classes.
The argument that its unfair to have CD and energy cost is not correct. I mean looking at sword Skill 3 have no right to exist without cooldown or you must increase the energy cost alot. How hard it must to balance the Revenant shows that you have absolut zero traits to change your energy regeneration.

I agree, died so many times in PvP because no energy to use UA or Crystal Hibernation.
Either remove energy cost from weapon skills or make Facets into proper signets without upkeep cost.No problems with other legends, but with Glint it’s turning you into sitting (or autoattacking) duck. Even having only might+fury facets and actively using weapon skills in PvP depletes all your energy, and boons granted are too short to switch. Why not just use Shiro+Mallyx then.
It’s funny, because I(and many others) have had the exact opposite issue.
Glint allows me to have a crap-ton of Boons and still use all my weapon skills whenever I need them, enough that they linger until I swap back to Glint, thanks to Facet of Nature. Even being at -1 upkeep (Nature, Fury, and Might), you shouldn’t be having any problems with energy unless you’re like the OP and aren’t swapping Legends or you’re just spamming everything(also, Facet of Nature is great, use it).
Using something like Shiro/Mallyx, you should have a much harder time managing energy due to higher costs in-general(20 – 35 energy is not cheap) and lack of “emergency buttons”(Mallyx doesn’t have a Stun Break, nor an anti-burst heal).
From the sounds of it you are using UA as soon as it comes off of cool down. I for one feel like this is a mistake in the way UA is being used. I see a lot of Revenants doing this and i just ask myself why? Yes, you get some really good damage from it but lets think about it for a moment. It takes a while for the skill to fully end. The amount of time it takes for the skill to end is roughly how long it takes for you to use auto-attacks to do the same amount of damage. It might be a better idea to use your auto-attacks more often and use the weapon skills as extra utility skills instead of thinking about them as damage skills. If a enemy is running away from you, UA tends to be a great skill to keep up with them and force them to use their dodges to avoid the damage. Then afterwords you should be able to do about 4 to 5 auto-attacks and kill them since they can’t dodge them anymore.
At the end of the day, your auto-attacks are your friend and really are some of the best dps you get out of the class itself. While this may be a boring way to play, it seems to be the most effective way to play the class and be able to manage your energy.
You need some planning in order to play rev to the highest extent. Yes, you can’t use all your skills with nothing but the cooldown to worry about unlike every other class. You gave Jade Winds and Unrelenting Assualt as an example of something you should be able to do, but cant. Heres the thing. You CAN do that combo, but it requires some planning ahead. You need to pool some energy before you try that combo. Bait some dodges, stack some vuln, wait for prot or frost aura or weakness to fall off, and stack some might while you wait for your energy to pool to at least 65%. Does that mean the class is bad? No, a 3 second stun combined with a big burst is extremely powerful. But you have to play smart. If you do this you’ll notice that you just got a lot better not just at rev, but at the game in general. Swapping legends also instantly gives you 50% of your energy back. To really get the most out of rev and your high-energy costing abilities you should be swapping legends often to make use of that free energy.
Also OP, Jade Winds + Unrelenting Assault is a very poor use of skills, as you completely ignore the evade and chase aspect of UA. Instead when you use Jade Winds just auto attack. You’ll do the same, if not more, damage while stacking vuln and having UA available as a defensive/chase tool.
