Since the last beta stopped and the POI a day afterwards with Shiro.

I just cant play any other classes, they all seem boring to me.(except for the Revenant of course)

Any1 else has this feeling?

Yeah, I told this to Roy. He really messed me up for a while until HOT hits. I’ve tried so hard to Theorycraft and enjoy another class, but all I end up doing is theory crafting Revenant and getting my character ready…

I have another issue though too. Elite specializations will have a unique class name. Kinda feel like I’ll be jumping right over poor Revenant if I end up enjoying Glint too much, and I won’t even technically be a Revenant! The emotional roller coaster is real.

I still enjoy my other classes, but the anticipation to start my revenant is almost unbearable, to the point i am on the forums every day now.

I know how you feel, I am facing the same problem with getting to the elite to fast and enjoying it too much

nope i just cant, i even spend all my money on a full infused ascended set.
about glint that’s why in pve u need to unlock it after i guess meeting the mursat or something, from what i know you wont have it unlocked right away, and that will be alittle while before you get the rev to the elite rev.
until rev is out even for beta i wont play any other class RIOT!

It’s a bit different for me. It has sort of that “swap gameplay” feral druid gameplay that I like, and some very unique ways to handle “balanced approach” type builds. And it mixes some of my favorite aspects of existing classes, so that’s where the real draw is for me. I enjoy it thematically, always loved the “scholar” type classes in RPGs, which while different, Revenant gives me that feel. It’s honestly something I’ve been looking for with its own little GW2 twist.

Reaper was pretty close too, but I generally got tired of being so slow on Reaper, so Revenant feels better so far. We’ll have to wait and see to know for sure!

^this is exactly how i feel

I’m actually the opposite – beta weekend for me has done a great job in pushing Revenant from the forefront of my possible future alts to the second or even third tier of them. Shiro reveal did help a bit, of course, and i may change my mind again after i’ll play revamped rev in one of future beta events, but for now it has been a real letdown.

Shiro looks good, but other legends need a revamp too. Increasing weapon damage won’t make Jalis able to tank, Mallyx able to not die from conditions and Ventari useful.

I’m in exactly the same situation. Luckily, I’m preoccupying myself by improving on all my builds a little and setting them up to transition into the new specializations by simply replacing a defense or offensive trait line they currently have to their new specialization trait line when the time comes without removing armor or having to come up with something completely new.

I’m also crafting a full set of ascended for when Rev launches. I can’t wait!

Same. My engi still satisfies me but the cheesiness of the rev might make me switch main

Revenant has no out of combat mobility nor any decent disengage capabilities, it removes all the fun out of it to me, that’s the single reason it’s not going to be my main. It’s looking more and more solid though, I have to give you that.

I’m the same every time I log on to my Mesmer I end up just talking to friends instead of doing anything xD well o made an ascended mace and axe for my Revenant now to go with Bolt and Bifrost I will probably need to make a hammer next but I’m like just crafting and talking I need my Revenant so bad!

That’s why I have ascended drunk gear set (cele) with traveler runs and ascended sober set (zerk) with scholar… Pretty much everything is in my bank waiting. Bags, two sets of ascended armor, all the ascended weapons, all the ascended trinkets. I Just need the toon now.

I know precisely what you mean, always wanted to fight like Wrath from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, mained acro thief for that reason. Even though no dual swords my annoyance was real when they destroyed the acro line.

I still enjoy my Guardian, and I’m looking forward to getting him into Dragon Hunter.

The changes to Guardian after the Spec Lines has been a breath of fresh air for me, and I feel finally, like my guard is in a spot where I like him.

That said, The Revenant is what I thought my guardian was going to be. More Ritualist, less Paragon, Heavy Armor, Magic-wielding nightmare….

So now, I get to main two characters… Life is rough man.

Sidenote Devs, give me a release date, and I’ll give you my money… But I want your kitten on the record so when I get bent the hell out of shape because of a push back, I can feel valid in my anger!

I had the complete opposite feeling in the first zone beta. But that was probably because of the celestial stats, after about 20 minutes i ditched the rev, deleted and made a war.

Maybe with decent stats it will be a better experience

This is probably really true. It happens in every game that releases a new class.

I’d imagne a massive chunk of the “I’m going to make Rev my main!1!!!1” crowd will disapear a few months into HoT’s launch.

I really want to play Shiro and its been that way since I first played a Revenant. In addition to him, the changes Roy posted a while back such as weapon swap and instant legend invoking sounds great. I’m antsy to play again!

I will admit, I was underwhelmed by the revenant from what I saw on the initial live stream. Very much a meh reaction. When rev beta came up though, I tried it with my full intention being: I wanna learn this class for sPVP.

After about an hour it really, really clicked. I knew there was more work ahead (we only had 9 utility skills for one, no underwater skills) but I really, realllly, reeeeallly loved it. I hope we don’t have to wait that much longer for the next event. I’m even prepping money on the side to get that possible gemstore armor if it drops.

I’m hyped.

Yeah it’s the same problem for me… It’s really killing me at this point it’s not even a fun “I can’t wait” sort of feeling its more of a “Well I guess their is no point in playing the game until I can play Rev” kind of feeling… And yes, I already have done any reasonable preparation, I have a build all thought out and fine tuned as well as a full ascended set of armor in my bank… sigh I could say that feeling applies to about anything to do with HoT at this point, the wait is much more annoying or even infuriating at this point as opposed to being fun, though waiting on Rev is easily the worst

I’m at the same point too. I just can’t look at my other toons anymore. I play now to build up my future Rev., farming gold for skins, getting those missing Tomes, etc., etc.

Ya i’m trying to get the mats needed more the bifrost lol even though none of my current classes are even able to use staff, and i think i have a total of like 10 kills with a staff on my account XD

but i needs it for Rev

Have you already decided on the stats? I’m still trying to make up my mind about that. I’ve got 2 sets of ascended armor, one which is just sitting there. I’m probably going to use the formula to switch the stats once I figure out what I’m going with.

Going to test free exotic first, then I’ll decide stats accordingly. Probably full zerk however (very original). In the beta at least.

For after HoT it’s not a big deal since I can swap stats.

Yeah, I’m a big power user myself, both for PvE and WvW. I guess it’ll depend on what the base stats will be too. I know the HP is going to be the mid level, but what were the other stats going to be?
