I’m leveling a revenant in PVE with some friends of mine. One plays an elementalist, the other a thief. The rev doesn’t seem to work with me. I don’t seem to do much damage, and am very slow to engage the enemy. So far I’m level 13 and have no ranged attacks, and only one leap on a long cooldown. I seem to finish the hearts last, mostly because the mobs die before I can tag them.

Should I change to another class or does it get better soon? We only play once a week and get about two-three levels per session. I have a ranger that I like playing better, or should I try another class, eg warrior or elementalist?

My advice would be to not play the class you don’t like. Basically doing something that you don’t like might lead to a burn-out and you will get bored. And not only of class, but also of game. I always played classes I like and felt like it was my stuff, otherwise I would be grinding my teeth playing anything else. Where’s fun in that? That also applies to life in general.
My philosophy is: do whatever you want to do and not otherwise. Good luck

Go into heart of the mists and use skills on dummy golems. If you dont like the skills, dont play it. Revenant has no issues with damage whether melee or ranged and no prob with mobility. Its cause you are lvl 13. Unlock shiro first for mobility and use sword for damage, hammer for ranged.

I gave it one last try and will stick with revenant. Buying a sword, axe, and hammer from the AH helped a lot. Playing once a week does not help, but that’s what I can fit into my schedule.

Rev is 1 of best DPS in pve so problem is nt in class just in how u play it.

Mace is a condition weapon and on low levels all you do is power.
If you want to use mace get the corruption line,mallyx and condition damage gear.

When I leveled Revenant I used Echoing Eruption into Inspiring Reinforcement for Swiftness spam….which is a way better method of traveling than spamming Impossible Odds. While there is truth in what you say, the guy plays with a group he can go Searing Fissure into Echoing Eruption to buff his team mates during combat….but for like 20 or so levels…staff is better.
